Lost Thompson Model 1923 .351 WSL

Auto-Ordnance modified a Thompson m1921 to fire the .351 Winchester Self-Loading cartridge. Creating a strange variant of the weapon, a light automatic rifle.
It was presented in tests by the French army between 1924 and 1926. The only copy was broken. After 10 shots the extractor broke and an attempt was made to repair it with parts from a m1921 .45 ACP. France never adopted this weapon.

It was considered a suitable weapon for the French army at that time, they still had thousands of copies of the Winchester M1907 rifle, the ammunition compatibility was the positive point.

It had a barrel slightly longer than that of the M1921, a folding bipod and the example used in the tests in France was equipped with a stock that was less misaligned with respect to the barrel of the weapon and more practical to be held when shooting at close range.

Could be an interesting event weapon. Due to its 20, 30 or 50-round magazine it could be for Rank II. If it shares an event with the M1907 SL and the event takes place on an important date for the French army, the better.

Could make for an interesting “assault rifle” for the allies faction
