Remember last time we have a paratrooper that could carry flamethrower(OG-43), what if we have a guerrilla squad that could carry flamethrower.
During the Warsaw Uprising, the Home Army used the K pattern flamethrower to fight Germans. Compare to other flamethrower, it’s maxim range up to 60 meters when using oxygen to propel the fuel mixture(30–40 meters using compressed air), which could make it an unique Br5 flamethrower.
Since it has a incredible range, this squad will only have 5 guerillas and the fuel capacity is only 100 round.
However adding a Home Army squad in this game is impossible, because the Allies did not send ground troops to Warsaw. Instead, we can add a event or premium squad for Soviet(Polish People’s Army).
The squad I choose is the 6th Warsaw Independent Motorized Pontoon-Bridge Battalion under the First Polish Army, which fought in the Battle of Berlin. It routinely conducted engineering reconnaissance missions, which makes sense to let this squad able to enter gray zone.
The main reason I choose this squad is because I found a picture of this battlalion in Berlin, the soldier in the middle is Sergeant Zbigniew Konopinsk. He had fought the Warsaw Uprising. A Soviet squad with a former member of the Home Army is definitely suitable for this weapon.
