I mean, you’d have to provide additional context. For example,I think it has the same armor as T-34E STZ. And also some arguments against the opposers, that’s usually how the suggestions that get accepted are made
I’d rather see KV1 banished to BR4 (making it completely worthless) than moving completely worthless Jagdpanzer IV L48 to BR3 (making it quite OP)
We have L70 now in BR4, so I guess when someone wants to play a Jagdpanzer IV - he can play the more iconic version and have a meta tank hunter.
BR3 is better fitting for Stugs and its derivatives.

Quite so yes, except for its turret of course. I used to agree with such statements in the past, where German BR2 and BR3 tank guns had such pathetic post pen damage that hitting its turret was not a viable tactic. Now you can blow up T34 with a couple of turret hits quite reliably - unlike KV1 which survives waaaay too many hits, but to get back to Jagdpanzer IV…
The problem is most Soviet tanks have poor penetration power for BR3 vehicles, KV1 and regular T34 will NOT be able to fight Jagdpanzer IV, which could be a good thing, forcing Soviets to use KV2, new SU122, or T34 57 instead. But lets be real, we really don’t need to shift all the gameplay just because Jagdpanzer IV is worthless in BR4 and KV1 is OP in BR3.
KV1 is a obsolete heavy T34. Yes it has all around 75mm of armor (except roof and bottom, thats a bug right now), but this armor thickness is the same as Matilda - which can be beaten by Panzer III J because of weakspots.
KV1 overperforms on a massive scale.
Historically Matila, KV1 and T34 were big problems to Germany - because at that time German still used Panzer III J as their main armored fighting vehicle. 88 Flak was effective at destroying those, so Germany overreacted by introducing Tiger tanks, even though later introduced Panzer IV F2 and Stugs already had more than enough power to rival those.
There is a reason why KV1 production was replaced by T34, it has the same effective armor while KV1 having double the weight and thus material costs.
