I’m pretty sure the Pzb 41 SS is NOT semi auto and its bolt action, if my memory is correct the pistol grip is tilted to the side and pulled back to chamber a new round
The Solothurn would make a decent tech tree AT rifle, if of course the Dev’s changed it so it could be fired standing up. IMOP it’s ridiculous that it has to be fired from a laying down position since (according to the Dev’s) it weighs less then half of what the Japanese Type 97 AT rifle weighs.
I did a google search however, and it appears that the Dev’s got the Solothurn weight wrong. It actually weighs fully loaded with it’s ten round magazine 54.7 kg (121 lbs), while the Type 97 weighs in at 52 kg (115 lbs). IMOP, if the Japanese could fire the Type 97 standing with it weighing roughly the same as the Solothurn, then why can’t the Germans fire the Solothurn standing up? If the Dev’s corrected that, added it to the tech tree it would be a decent AT rifle.
Dev got a lot of things wrong recently (last year).
It’s almost like a lazyly copypasted stats from PTRS-41. 20.3 kg weight as well, what are the odds?
I would assume on average a German soldier would be bigger in size compared to a Japanese soldier, so, the weight difference between the two AT rifles should be no factor. However, common sense seems to often elude the Gaijin developers. It’s almost like nobody on Gaijin’s staff is an authority on WW2.
For what?
You will receive a semi-automatic PZB-39 with a terrible breakdown
in fact it is an analogue of the PTRS
It makes sense to appear
But even then there is the godlike solothurn
There will be nothing better than him in the German fractions.
