Ho-Ni I BR2>>>>>BR1 šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

And yet you seem desperate to shove under the carpet the fact that the ho ni has multiple advantages over the current Chaffee yet people want them in different br. And people’s justification for the Chaffee not getting apcbc is ā€œit’s so strong already in its current stateā€. So the ho ni has multiple actual advantages over what y’all consider a borderline op br 2 vehicle and y’all want it at br 1.

Dunno, in big picture the rather massive downsides such as non-existent armor, absence of MG makes it rather useless in its current BR.

Bigger gun & faster reload seems to be the only things it has better than chaffee.

Yeah, its fine.

Dunno, still just larger gun & faster reload.

And as its mentioned in topic I dont really care if they remove the HE from it.

The only advantage is the APHE round, but that’s only an advantage because for some reason the Chaffee doesn’t deserve APCBC.

That’s my point. If ho ni is br 1 material it calls into question the assumption made that Chaffee is borderline op which is the justification that people have for not giving it apcbc.

The Chaffee really isn’t OP, and even if it was the Ho-Ni I is worse in basically every way, only even with its HE shell and only better with its APHE shell. Which again, the APCBC would perform better

It also gets a quicker reload. I’m saying that if Chaffee was the pinnacle of br 2 then these differences would not be enough to justify being a full br lower and still be called balanced.

Being an open top casemate with no machine guns, lower mobility, and less armor isn’t enough to justify being a BR lower? Huh?

In exchange for quicker reload, post pen damage, and more pen and assuming the Chaffee is borderline busted, then yes.

Even with the APCBC round I wouldn’t consider the Chaffee busted, especially when the M8 Scott is in the TT. You’re fighting infantry most of the time so the M8 Scott would be better than the Chaffee even with the M61 shot. Also since you’re fighting infantry 90% of the time, factors like being a casemate, being as open as the Ho-Ni I, and having no machine guns matters more than something like post-pen damage.

But the Chaffee does have a worse reload so that’s 1 point for the Ho-Ni

Then you and I are on the same page.

Yeah the M8 Scott is still the best American BR2 tank, even if every other American BR2 and BR1 tank had their practice rounds replaced (which they should be replaced). Plus buffing American anti-tank would make it harder to argue against the Chi-Nu being moved down and the Germany BR2 tanks their APCBC replaced with an actually useful shell.

I agree with downgrading the Ho-Ni 1 to BR1; even at that BR, it’s very likely no one will use it. (I’m not saying it should be deleted), but honestly, very few people ever learn how to use a tank destroyer efficiently or enjoyably.

Ur saying no one’s going to use the 75mm at br 1 with the same performance as br 3 tanks…. Have you ever played br 1?

Dont really see anyone using hs 129 either, arguably best airplane gun and its br1.

It’s not the best airplane gun…. This is such a terrrible example I’m wondering if you ever used a vehicle in this game before

then what better gun is there than a 75mm tank gun in the sky?

Cannons that have a faster fire rate that can also deal with more than just a tank. Also the ducks weaknesses make it harder to use the cannon as you can’t get into position easily to use it and you can’t attack top down

If you were talking about planes actual primary armament bombs and rockets you might’ve had a point. Unfortunately you aren’t so you don’t have a point besides making yourself look bad

that’s horseshit. Cannons are as much a mean of making points as bombs and rockets. You’re making yourself look bad.

And suddenly you figure out that big gun alone isnt exactly everything.
If only you figured the same regarding ho-ni.
