That’s why it can also move vertically, to easily line up with their targets , which is an advantage compared to tanks, as they need to manouver buildings, you can hunt tanks with the duck without the trouble & without much threat of the tanks’ resistance.

not identical, but equal. it trades ease of lining up the shot for the ability to be shot from anywhere, without much resistance. It’s BR 1.
It’s br 1 and useless against anything that isn’t a tank.
Well, isn’t that what we are talking about? Removing it’s HE and downtiering it? The ho ni will be useless, because it’s the equivilant of the hs 129, which trades the multipurposeness of bombs for excelling at tank killing just like the ho ni TD will only excel at killing tanks? And more useless even so, because the duck only has to worry about other planes, but the ho ni will have to worry about every form of warfare
we’re talking about removing it’s HE because on principle TD which share the guns of their BR 3 tanks are on BR 2 (marders + Su-76) & TDs which are BR 1 & have BR 3 guns, don’t have HE (italian thingy)
dunno, didnt exactly have trouble aiming with it, everything else then again wasnt exactly worth it regardless of the big gun.
Kind of yes, if you are assuming everyone just drives into your crosshairs.
But usually, thats not the case so your turning entire “tank” to direction where your aiming at.

I mean, now the Ho-ni is basically identical to the SU-76M, so in order to boulster Japans AT capabilities, we’re trying to move it to BR 1, but also in order to make it balanced, make it have no HE?
Im not familiar with teh su-76m, so cant comment regarding similarities.
Then again, SU doesnt really lack capable tanks on BR1.

It’s only balance. If it’s equal to BR 2 TDs, you need to do somethong to justify lowering it to BR 1.
