Give the m24 m61/apcbc

Like how many chi has do you even see? And how often do you face a chi ha in a german tank that is in europe?

Im sorry but that just kinda reeks desperation to justify how terrible that armor is when in reality the amount of armor a tank has hardly matters unless it is a heavy which actually might be able to block anything until BR 3.

So having 30mm or 50mm of armor that can be pened by anything you realisticly can see really doesnt change anything. So if I can shed some weight for a boost in speed that is 100% worth it.

So you admit that the APHE is integral to make it BR 3?
Sticking a BR 3 gun and a chassie that I even prefore over a number of BR 3 ones, does sound very questionable.
While yes technicly the gun reloads a bit slower but in my experiance it wasnt that much of an issue when I played it.

The devs could buff the RPM of the gun a bit but the APHE with that much filler and pen on such a fast turret is just overkill for BR 2.

I used chi ha as an example to show how pathetic the chaffees armor is. Try to keep up kiddo

So a faster reload is a bigger buff than giving it apcbc as it effects all aspects of the tank instead of just tank killing consistency. But apparently that’s ok but this isn’t.

Giving what’s essentially a br 1 chassis a br 3 gun and making it br 2? Sounds good to me

It’s not about having to flank because enemy armor is too good to get through. It’s the lack of shrapnel/filler that matters.

Exactly. German players just want a leg up. It’s okay for you to get aphe, apcbc, and heat rounds on just about everything to one hit u.s. tanks in low tier, but not for u.s.

Puma doesn’t one hit kill unless directly hitting ammo. But to be fair those tanks do indeed reload very fast.

Again, I want to see solid AP being powerful.

If this is true, germany wouldn’t have a single br2 tank lol.

They can easily give it apcbc but weaken it a bit so it’s not as strong as the sherman’s.

Currently, even if the m24 gets off the first shot against a somewhat competent player, chances are you’re getting popped in the first hit immediately after or at the very least before you can even kill half the crew. It doesn’t even come down to skill here really. It’s the complete lack of required skill on the german side. And again, when you have heat rounds, the barrel length doesn’t even matter. It does the same penn and damage either way. Event puma is better in all regards even if the m24 had apcbc rounds. The only reason people against this have is they don’t want a fair fight. Plain and simple.

You should try out Soviet Tanks- they have like 3 times the explosive filler of German tanks, and it very clearly translates very in favour to them in warthunder and Enlisted.

Soviet bias streches the laws of physics.

Yes, i have all trees completed, although i play them the least because their player base seems to be the worst of all 4 lol.

I completely forgot about the marder, long barrel 76mm with apcbc and HE rounds. Doesn’t have a turret, is open, and a bit slow in comparison to m24, but armor is probably the same and the marder can do way more damage than m24 with apcbc rounds.

I’d be open to trying a better solid shot round, i just have a hard time seeing that make much of a difference, and maybe I’m a bit salty still from the long struggle with shermans when all they had was solid shot. All i know is the m24 just doesn’t feel good to use in comparison with almost all other br2 tanks from other nations and i really want to like using it because it’s a cool tank. I feel like this same reason doomed the m8a1 (maybe?), the long barrel m8 Scott. It’s a really cool tank, and would of bought it, but there’s absolutely no reason with the solid ap rounds, and the regular m8 getting heat

I was confused about that tank aswell when it was added - the Marder does use a captured Soviet 76mm gun → BUT it was altered so it used German Panzer IV 75mm ammo.

So it has high penetration but much less explosive filler.

Was this datamined or something? How do you know it still uses 75mm rounds? Would have never known that.

Wikipedia told me, thats how it actually was with the real world WW2 Marder, and Warthunder wiki ammo selection shows 75mm “Panzergranate”

Haven’t literally checked it in Enlisted, but since Warthunder has it correctly implemented, I doubt Enlisted uses Soviet ammo.

Also, Soviet rounds wouldn’t be able to pen KV1, they have just under 80mm of pen I think.

Flank it brah, for free snipe kills.
J1 also has to do same

I am sorry but HEAT is just glorified AP in this game.
So if an axis tanker can 1 shots you with HEAT it 90% is because he aimed for a spot that would allow for a 1 shot.

I would love to see you recreate this smiley with M 61 shell without accidentaly killing the tank in the procces.

It does depend on the tank/heat round. When i say 1 shot, I’m also referring to you’re crew insta dying and not being able to return fire. Heat does a much better job at both those things.

I bet i could make 2 smilely faces without blowing that tank lmao. You literally picked the worst tanks to try and prove your point there.

Heat also has half the reload time as the Chaffee…

J1 has explosive filler, nearly double the rpm of the Chaffee, and more pen then the Chaffee has even if it got m61.

Oh and j1 has better armor on the lower hull and turret
