Commanders! Japan certainly has some interesting prototype weapons in their tech tree, yes? Including those made as a desperate last ditch attempt to fight the enemy. But what if I told you there was a rifle so unique and crude it would make the VG1-5 look like fine craftsmanship?
This is where I encourage the addition of the Homeland Defense Rifle
Such a weapon would be a single-shot sidearm, of which we’ve already seen in the form of the Liberator and Mosin Obrez. Or even a main weapon, similar to that of the existing Berdan II (Of course, sitting at BR I)
This would also fill the gap of the limited choice of unique pistols Japan has compared to other nations, as well as making a good counterpart to the aforementioned weapons available to the USA and USSR
Version 1
Version 2
Version 3
I personally believe this would be no less than an event or battlepass weapon, considering it never was confirmed to see frontline combat.
