Oh, actually, if use the depression angle, it becomes an open hatch.
On the other hand, using an elevation angle will close the hatch.
So I always use the elevation angle.
This is invincible for mortars.
Honestly I think it’s the only BR 6 Tank.
No matter how much the Tank of BR5 had nothing to give (Prototype should have come out as BR5 TT, not Premium. Add Production as BR6)
Because of Ho-Ri Production, Ofenrohr’s penetration should be buffed to 230mm of provenance, and the US should have been given M9A1 with T59 Rocket. (230mm)
It is front unbeatable for the current Ofenrohr(200mm) due to the Ho-Ri’s front armor (min 200mm ~ 225mm).
But to be honest, the 44-100 proposal might as well not have been made. Whether in War Thunder or Enlisted, the nerfing of large calibers is still utterly unrealistic. Just the short-barreled 152mm of the KV-2 should be enough to shatter over half of the armor on all German tanks. Through kinetic energy alone, it could easily blow apart the fighting compartments of vehicles like the Ferdinand and the Tiger. Ever since I saw those historical photos of the damage caused by 152mm guns, I realized that the in-game version has been nerfed to the point of being almost unrecognizable. So, I’ve lost any appreciation for the large-caliber Soviet guns in the game now. Unless the developers significantly buff them—to the point where a KV-2 can effortlessly overpressure a Ferdinand or a Tiger—these guns are just clowns in most situations, with shells that get “eaten” by the game mechanics, utterly failing to reflect historical reality.
reason number 3
we will eventually have this:
T-44 100 a literal counterpart like super pershing to tiger 2h
KTH better because it can at least rotate its turret
well only if we ignore the massive damage the hori cannon deals lol
…
Nobody should be foolish enough to shoot a tank with hand held anti tank at the front…
I still use Piat in br5. I aim at the sides, as one should… For any armoured vehicle.
(Allies or Japan using Shrekwithoutashield is really cringe, too.)
You’re clearly not the one on faust-sniping duty on your team. If you angle a panerfaust right from a few hundred meters away, you can one-shot a KTH from the front.
Speaking of the Kv-2, for some reason it’s not given its realistic 110mm of frontal turret armor making it much easier to penetrate.
I know.
And it’s a bit silly to be honest. Feels… arcade. No one would be crazy enough to just get in front of a tank to take it down, instead of just lying hidden in wait and disable it from the side.
Tanks in Enlisted are extremely squishy and weak to almost everything. Very easy to take out.
It would help if there weren’t so many high-power AT weapons with long ranges. Why are AT soldiers in non-AT squads allowed to carry around 6 panzerfausts, for example?
Or everyone able to carry tnt AND dynamite…
Those who say tanks are op…
Tanks certainly can be annoying when in grey zone. But as soon as they exit it, a flock of rambos swarm it and it promptly explode…
Maps are too small and there’s cover everywhere. It’s annoying, but I can’t even blame tankers trying to maintain a safety range.
(Though I bomb them to smithereens from my plane, eheheh)
Tanks and anti-tank definitely need an overhaul. You live by the tank or die by the tank in an infantry game.
…
Enlisted is not an infantry game, though.
It’s a squad game.
Combined arms squad game, in which squads can have multiple roles (like the tank squad)
Infantry are what plays the objective. Tanks and planes are an aspect of the game and are meant to assist the infantry, but similarly to real life warfare the focus remains around the infantry.
It’s truly disheartening to see this happening. Some extreme German players are relentlessly suppressing any attempt to balance the Soviet side at BR 5, as if venting all the frustration they accumulated from BR 2 to 3. To quote the opening line of The Communist Manifesto: “A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of communism”—well, in our game, it feels like “all the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre,” uniting to besiege a single faction.
Honestly, shouldn’t this be considered a form of bullying against Soviet players and the faction itself? If this environment continues, what motivation is there for anyone to invest in high-tier Soviet squads? Why would players spend resources on a faction that is systematically suppressed in the meta?
Looking further ahead, I suspect this post of yours will eventually have its reach mysteriously limited. Even though it’s well-reasoned and supported by evidence, it might end up being ignored. Perhaps because you dared to mention anything related to the Soviet faction right from the start, people might just choose to overlook it.
The only thing I am aware of that gives Soviets a big advantage in a battle rating is the Winchester, which seemingly got a nerf to the hitbox size or something recently making it a lot harder to aim.
It’s hard to believe that the reason some people argued for the Panther being just as good as the T34-85 was because of its slow reverse.
I’ve even seen someone argue that the Soviet AA gun is superior to the German one. The one time I managed to steal a loaded German AA gun it completely shredded.
This situation truly tests one’s ability to discern truth from falsehood.
Those with ill intentions will take these patently absurd posts and cynically hold them up as examples of “democracy in action.” Any reasonable person can see that the original poster is almost certainly a troll—a clown performing to disgust and provoke the community with their blatantly illogical rhetoric.
The real issue, however, is that I have yet to see any official from DF step in to perform this basic moderation. Instead, they allow the community to tear itself apart in endless arguments. One cannot help but conclude that the root of the problem lies in DF’s own arrogance and laziness.
After The_Fox left the forums, we lost one of the few balanced voices you could have a genuine conversation with. It feels akin to a nation losing a wise and capable minister—the decline in the quality of discourse was both immediate and profound.
You’re absolutely referring to that early era, aren’t you? Back when the data was incomplete, and the KV-2’s frontal turret armor was set at just 110mm in the game files. Those really were the ancient days.
What a load of bollocks…the majority of all tanks from all nations dont have ammo options. (And that includes german tanks not having APCR).
Heck commonwealth tanks dont even get their best solid shot ammo
Not to mention APCR is a crap ammo type compared to APHE (In Warthunder/Enlisted)
All tanks are added with their stock ammunition. It takes many suggestion threads to get it upgraded.
Also the ammo you are talking about I recall is post WW 2 ammunition used in the IS 2M (1950s)…not that dates have stopped anything from being added to soviets though (cough su-9)
