They could add the Mp18 as a new premium (or event gun) under the name “Type Be”
Or the VZ.24 as “Type MO III”
Both could make cool premium/ event guns

Japan could also get it as event or premium
They already have it as event weapon.
And there’s no need to add copy paste across factions as standard equipment. Otherwise there’s no point in having factions in the first place.

The germans adopted it, and continued to produce many of them during the occupation of Belgium, I don’t think adding the HP to germans would hurt the game too much

No the game, but it would definitely hurt the uniqueness and integrity of the each faction.
If there’s no need, copypaste should be avoided as much as possible. Especially in “TT” equipment.

Fair point, but I will counter by saying that the German did formally adopt the HP. This isn’t some captured weapon (sort of). Besides, I think that would help to portray Germany in a unique way as they were known for using many captured weapons, especially towards the end of the war.
