It would make complete sense. During the German occupation of Belgium, they continued to produce and issue Hi-Powers under the designation Pistole-640(b) could be unlocked at the same time as the Mauser C96

Us troops didn’t have it, however, the British and other Commonwealth nations (most notably my home country Canada 
) used it. It was produced by John Inglis and Company in Toronto, Ontatio. Only about an hour from where I live. Not to mention that Our army still uses the High Power to this day, although we are begginning to replace it with the C22

It make sense now since British soldiers did use it, but back in the day during Normandy campaign there were no British soldiers in the campaign but US had all of their weapons anyway.

I wouldn’t mind seeing more pistol options for the US as well, the US commercial market had lots of foreign options and it would be nice if they got to be the “pistol heaven” faction. Things like P08s, PPs, c96s and Astras were not uncommon sights at gunstores. It was a very uncommon practice (and officially discouraged), but US servicemen did sometime bring sidearms from home, and at the same time Commonwealth officers were expected to purchase and bring their own sidearms privately for that matter (and not all of them standard revolvers).
Maybe they could do a event in the future, spreading the pistol love a little, for the US and and Germany at the same time, rather than having F2P overlap of pistols?

Ik, Bren used to the the gunner 1 unlock and Lee No.4 used to be the Engi unlock. I am like a Normandy scholar (in this game) just read my bio lmao
IMO premium and event squads should come with commercial, captured or just unique pistols and playeds should be able to swap them out.

I’d be fine with that, sounds cool and just extra incentive to pick them up.
The Germans already have access to the hi power through events, Id prefer if they received more uniquely axis pistols, perhaps a box fed Mauser or one of the pistols carried by any of the minor axis nations.
Why not both? I saying this because the HP is already in game and wouldn’t be hard to add

They could rename the german HP to Pistole-640(b), would makr a small difference, no?

Maybe… Feels like a cheat code, perhaps if they changed the finish or colour of the metal of it. Not to mention the markings would be incorrect.
