Feedback for update 0.1.13.25

Soviet SMG weaponry excells in the kind of engagements we have in game (low distance, fighting over the points and houses). In such engagements, RoF wins over anything else, so saying that PPD is often preferable option over MP or PPK is not far from truth (no matter how unbeliveable it may be to soviet mains). I think that with nerf of MPs people finaly started finding that out and started to play soviets more.
Its not really like axis got any kind of huge nerf, or their SMGs are painfully weaker than they used to be (playing both sides, so calling me wehraboo wouldn´t make sense if anyone is getting that thought).

I believe, that with more players on each side we are slowly getting to see, that the “almighty ultimate wehraboo made hammers of god MPs” is not so godly as they are perceived to be after all.

either way people will always cry when balance gets shifted but bro german smgs feel doing less damage their lmgs are pretty fine but smgs i am talking about all the smgs they feel slower and feel like pea shooters I have not played for a long time maybe for this i may feel like this

As if fighting against premium soldiers with your unupgraded bolt action rifles is any better

The weapon changes force you to play for 1000s of hours to upgrade weapons to the level of the premium squad weapons. And that is for only one campaign. If you were to play multiple campaigns, you might have to spend 5000 hours of game time to up grade weapons. In other words, it is better to buy premium squads to bypass the time needed to upgrade the weapons. And that changes this game to a pay to win game.

Don’t like this at all and makes me and others not want to play this game.

What I like

  • I believe that weapon damage is on point, this less forgiving damage model creates interesting gameplay (but maybe the accuracy of smg should be lowered at large to medium distances)
  • weapon models and variety is just lovely
  • engineer buildings, it gives a lot of freedom to the player and transform the battleground in a sandbox where you can dictate the conditions of the battle

What I dont like

  • Bombers (AT soldiers) should be able to use any rifle, just like engineers or radio operators. sure, they are not suposed to fight infantry like the rest of classes, but still they need to be able to defend themselves
  • IA: the AI behavior has improved, but still they need to be able to use ladders and follow the player around (I supposed this is already being worked on :+1:)
    commander hatch animation: i believe the commander exposes way to much of his body when looking off the hatch, (note im talking about soviet tanks, I’ve never played german ones) maybe adding two modes of scouting off the hatch could help the tank combat, the one already on game, which helps with target identification (also adding commander binoculars similar to what we see on war thunder could help), and the other mode taking cover on the already opened hatch hiding most of the body except for the head and shoulders of the character with limited visibilty, being able to see on only one side of the opened hatch, something similar to the system seen in red orchestra 2
    If someone wants to make a point or comment on something that I’ve said is welcome :wave:

On the PPD topic, I’ve mostly ignored it so I’m not sure if this has been brought up, but the recoil buff seems to only apply to box-mag PPDs. My drums still have the same recoil as before, but the little time I’ve had on boxes does give the lack of recoil.

Good points. Gunplay here is excellent, i’ve never had this much fun with bolt action rifles in games, all other guns are great too. Engineer stuff is great, never seen that as well. I often find myself having fun just building engineer stuff all over lol. Balance is good now, yes, maybe shifted towards Soviets now. PPD is very fun, and it should be kept fun, one of the fun parts of SU faction.

imo, AT guys should only carry sidearms (pistols)

What they carry now is unrealistically too much weight

Ultimately there’s still balance to consider, and unlike LMGs, AT rifles aren’t good enough on their own to justify making them standalone weapons.
Though once I get more pistols I might put that theory to test; right now I’m reserving them for assaulters and machine gunners as they tend to have the greater need with how quickly they run out of ammo.

AT class shouldn’t be good on their own, that’s why we have riflemen and gunners to cover them

That’s a very bad decision on your side
Riflemen need pistols much more than assaulters

I have given all my soldiers TK and TT
I have given my assaulters shotgun and PPD so they have plenty of ammo
I have given my gunners Revolver so I can defend myself when shooting on the move since MG is very heavy

But assaulter are the last class that needs a pistol
Pistol is the only short range weapon that riflemen can use

No, riflemen rarely have ammo issues. Assaulters get low on ammo very quickly even with a shotgun.
Rifles are more effective than pistols in most situations as well. If anything a sniper would be a better candidate for a sidearm as they don’t get clips.

Until pistols get buffed they’re plainly a “weapon to use to get a real gun” weapon type.
If I run out of ammo with my MG or SMG, and don’t have bots to replenish it, I’ll drop it to save weight and go scavenging. Pistols help scavenge but that’s it.

yes lmgs snipers and at rifleman should get pistols and none other class should get them even if it is possible make each soldier carry only a single gun type and must need to drop it to carry any other while in battle otherwise we all know we have rambos for assaulters who store 5 grenades shoot rifles to kill long distance targets and smgs to go brrrrrrrr…I really need devs to lock unit and thier weapons will make every class has its own pros and cons in game otherwise the game is just get assaulters or lmgs as fast as possible

Devs look at this please this is what we want a realistic game not a game where you can stack 4-5 grenades and spam them…@73507743
