i’m not entirely sure on the title, because it’s a bit complex for me to explain,
so, what i mean by that, is that the parameter that decide to split bullets within each magazine/clips, should be changed.
because most of the time, we end up reloading 1 singular bullets per time, when all those bullets could have gone in 1 magazine/clip.
and i know that i’m not the only one complaining about this,
as this issue is present from the alpha.
but here is an example of why it should be reworked:
with a magazine of 10 bullets and only 7 bullets left, i had to reload 5 times.
and it’s not only that.
many times bullets left do not fill the whole magazine. splitting the bullets compleatly randominc.
i remember using the mp34 where i had 16 bullets, the game decided to split it in 15 bullets leaving 1 bullets in the chamber as " active magazine".
without knowing that, i found my self with 1 singular bullet in the chamber, while the other 15 somewhere else in my pocket.
i know that it might not be realistic. but at this point it’s best if
this suggestion will be taken in consideration insthead.
( as it’s a fix for this thread issue )
https://forum.enlisted.net/t/magazine-system/1724?u=30101451
in order to avoid the current issue.
cheers.

How would that suggestion deal with picking up weapons? Would it just count as picking up all of the magazines as well or would you prefer we have 2 different cues, hold F to pick up the weapon, then hold F on soldier to grab the magazines for said weapon?
honestly i havn’t though about that, but it’s like insurgency sandstorm/Day of Infamy.
where if you picked up a weapon, you have only 1 magazine ( that it would be the one attached to the weapon )
but even than, it might get complicated as the feature of picked up weapons in order to be refilled, must go against the current " rule ".
basically, you cannot obtain ammonution from the ammo box if the weapon that you are holding, is from a dead body.
magazine system or not, this HAS to be fixed. some way, although, are we gonna do it in the realistic way? or the arcady one.

i know that you suggested this one in the past,
but adding a menu it gets tidious, and quite often long.
that’s the main issue.
here, it’s quite different.
we have to find an organized system that could work. where the game automatically does that.
although, again, not sure if suits the most an arcady one where it automatically fill your current magazine up to the total magazine value or make entire magazines sections.
i’ll wait for more feedbacks.
If you want the game to automatically organise your magazines, we can as well not have empty magazine mechanic at all.
And if player has to do this then some kind of UI is necessary.
I actually much prefer this system of “not magically having all your ammo appear in the last magazine”.

so that you have to individually load each single bullet per time in a semi auto matic / automatic weapon?
yeah, that sound logical and not uncomfortable in a combat situation at all.
i mean, your opponent can wait while you shot and reload after every bullet. right?
Magazine based weapons simply have this issue as it is an innate downside of magazines. Unloading one magazine and reloading the other takes a lot of time.
Clip based weapons do not have this issue, just like in the game.
It’s fine for me as is.

exept when you are a sniper, you have to press R each single time unlike the non-scoped rifle that automatically loads all your last bullets through single bolt.
weather the scoped sniper rifle cannot use clips for obv reasons, it should definitely load sequentially each last bullet without any interruption insthead of pull the bolt, reload, and pull it back.
i don’t know you. you tell me ?
but if you like wasting time over simple things especially when you need them the most.
be my guest.
as i’ll not pretend that it’s not an issue.
As far as I know it’s a bug.

They should just let you hold down R for a long reload sequence which fills near empty magazines with remaining bullets. Problem solved.
