Instead of ammunition pools that automatically fill your magazine with maximum ammo there should be a set amount of magazines your soldiers bring into battle each of which retains the amount of rounds fired.
That is the case with magazine fed guns, but not with clips. I’d love to see single rounds and clips carried

yeah, it would be cool if it recognised remaking ammo on clips (and chose the right clip to fill your gun if it matches exactly or more.
Pretty sure it already works like that, it just isn’t displayed properly. If you keep reloading after shooting only a couple of rounds, eventually you’ll start loading partially empty magazines. At least it was like that in the previous version (haven’t got the chance to try the new one yet).
[Edit] Just tested it and it predictably still works in the current version.

It works like that if your amount of bullets equals 2 clips or lower (reload just swaps clips). Either not yet expanded or mixed to not make it very complicated for players.
