The horizontal recoil reduction is an obsolete perk, since Vertical recoil reduction grants significantly more weapon handling bonus at a lower cost. The benefit of this perk is almost laughable: With this perk, the FG 42 1 horizontal recoil becomes the same as that’s of the FG 42 2: around 22. That’s the best it can do? For a whopping 16 points the benefit should be significant. You get 30% vertical recoil reduction with only 9 points.
16 : 30 itself is not a problem
The biggest problem is that this is one stack.
The most effective method is to divide it into 4 stacks and change it to 4 : 7.5 x 4.
Since Reload is the most important Perk in Weapon Stats, if invest all 8, there is too Big problem that can’t use the horizontal with the remaining stats.
That’s why I won’t vote because this is the wrong direction of the buff improvement plan.
The underlying problem has not been solved.
Hot take: remove or severely cripple the recoil perks. The game is balanced around not having them. They’re too strong and ruin a core balancing stat for weapons
Only if controller recoil becomes more on par with M&k, currently the perks is a must have for controller players. The perks is the only way to compensate the massive difference between the two. Will simply be too much of an unfair fight without controller either having access to the perks, or getting a blanket reduction to compensate the difference.
Want to share what PC gets now? So convenient for you to leave that out. I don’t care what insults y’all want to throw, it’s extremely obvious PC has significantly less recoil. I’ve personally experienced both. Can you say the same? My statement is about the difference between the two, so you’re response means absolutely nothing. You may also think, the difference will be the same with or without the recoil perks in game, but that’s simply not true either. I’m sure you’re familiar with the concept of diminishing returns. The difference between having and not having perks on M&K is minimal in comparison to controller. Meaning the difference between inputs will feel closer due to this concept alone, but not only that, they will also truly be closer on paper.
No recoil perks for a weapon with 20 vertical would be 10 on controller, (because you never responded with PCs recoil traits we’ll just say they get 75% for this) and 5 for PC making the difference in recoil 5 points
With recoil perk reduction of 50% on the same gun, controller would then be at 5, and PC would be at 2.5 making the difference in recoil 2.5 points instead of 5. The two inputs become 50% closer to one another with perks on.
So whatever the % difference is between inputs (using this math) is what controller should get as a blanket recoil reduction if the perks were removed. This is only fair, and I’ve just proven it with some simple math. It has nothing to do with skill issue.
pc doesnt have anything like that only console
and i know enough good console players to know how the recoil is on there ive seen enough clips too console doesnt have a recoil issue its just ur own skill issue
Pc is much more precise in its controls as joysticks control ur aim points velocity not position. So its a lot harder to adjust and align that velocity to keep on target rather than just adjusting for recoil on pc.
guy really thinks pc has more recoil than console. Not only is it a known fact that pc gets superior recoil reduction in FPS games you can tell easy enough by experiencing it yourself first hand. Which you just admitted that you don’t have first hand knowledge. I have both a high performance computer, and a console. I also happen to carry my crossplay lobbies as a console player. Yes, there are good console players out there. That doesn’t mean anything once again. If you really want you can post a video at the gun range without controlling a gun and i can replicate it. Let’s say a maxed stat tier 3 machine gunner with no perks on.
This is true, but recoil is almost nonexistent on pc for fps games because a mouse doesn’t reset nor can it be continuously dragged downward like joystick. If recoil wasn’t almost nonexistent for m&k you’d be picking up the mouse and continuously resetting it mid gunfight. Different games compensate differently. Some only make the visual recoil really low for mouse play and things like that. If we’re being honest, visual recoil is just as important if not more so.
I’d be fine taking 16 points to get the full upgrade if it was broken up. Let’s use 40% as a example, each one costs 4 and gives you 10% bringing it in line with the vertical recoil.
In my personal opinion this is the best way to handle this along side a buff overall if you manage to use all 16 points your soldier gets for it. Makes sense considering you are required to max a soldier out at level 5 to unlock the final upgrades just to get this buff so it should be a bit stronger and have a little more QOL by dividing the total upgrade into parts like other soldier traits can.
I have 3500 hours played in enlisted as a console player and I can tell you that console players on remote do not have more recoil than a pc user. I can say this with 100% confidence because I also have a pc account with Japan maxed out. Remote users have less recoil but a harder time aiming accurately and pc users have pinpoint accuracy with more recoil. It has always been like this.
I have like 60 days in battle play. What’s that got to do with it? You can put a side by side clip up and see that the gun on M&K doesn’t jump up as high. (Without being controlled/perks) as i said, it might not be actual recoil but visual recoil reduction. This is also proven to be true in the destiny games. The difference in inputs was extremely obvious with the charleton MG before they changed it. On console it would jump atleast twice as much with every bullet shot and would end up way higher in the sky than with a mouse. Again, why don’t you just upload a clip of a gun at the range without perks and without controlling it. I will replicate it. Use the tokerav or anything with high recoil stats/bigger rnd capacity to see a difference more clearly
I don’t think increasing it should just be that but dumping 16 points into a single perk is the issue for something that will see almost no use for most guns I think it should be like it’s other perks and instead of 1/1 as it is should be 3/3 that cost like 5 points per level
Because this is horizontal.
This is because horizontal is more difficult to control than vertical in FPS games.
That’s why the horizontal is usually overvalued.
That’s why the developers did it with 16 cost.
