It’s important to understand that off-topic discussions and attempts to create conflict are a deliberate tactic used by Soviet trolls to close threads about the body armor problem.

If body armour is given to Germany, it will get removed day one.
If body armour is given to the U. S., you will have to pay 250 gold for each piece of cosmetic.
But body armour is given to the Soviet en masse for free, and it is absolutely balanced and anynone who complains has major skill issue.
It is kinda funny because soviet players were constantly complaining about ppd/ppsh damage being 6.6 while German smg were op with 6.8 damage when enlisted entered open beta. It is so gamebreaking as Soviet smg can’t 2 shot kill in 10m. I can still remember how they lost their mind when mp40 got damage buff to 7.0.
I have little faith that body armour would ever be changed but the topic is always very indicative of where certain type of player coming from.

Hm… last time i checked it’s only given to random soldiers in certain squads in berlin (maybe stalingrad as well) for free.

Calculation of TTK among Submachine Guns on the 3rd Combat Rating in Enlisted:
Initial data: The standard survivability of a fighter is 10 health units. A perk of 35% to Survivability gives you 10+(10/100x35)=13.5 health on the forum.

The Uragan submachine gun has a rate of fire of 860 rounds per minute and a damage of 6.9
13.5/(860/60х6.9)= 0.1365 seconds (You always need to hit the other player twice)

The PPSH-41 Sector has an 1150 Rate of Fire and a damage rating of 6.6
13.5/(1150/60х6.6)= 0.1067 seconds (Three hits on another player)

The ZK-383 has a rate of fire of 810 and damage of 6.8
13.5/(810/60х6.8)= 0.147 seconds (Two hits on another player)
but now let’s calculate how much damage will there be if the other player has a cuirass?
6.8-(6.8/100х10%)=6.12 The damage
we are counting now, taking into account the cuirasses:
13.5/(810/60х6.12)= 0.163 seconds (it is necessary to make three hits, but at the same time, this weapon on the 3rd Combat Rating loses in terms of rate of fire to all other Submachine Guns)

Let’s count how many hits we need to make with the SVT-38 in Enlisted?
13.5/14.4=0.93 (You need to get in once)

now let’s count how many hits we need to make with the Gewehr-41 if the other person has a cuirass?
14.4-14.4/100х10=12.96 The damage. I remind you, a fighter with a survivability perk has 13.5 Health.
13.5/12.96= 1.041 shots fired ( It already takes two hits at players with a Cuirass at point-blank range (up to 10 meters)

The “feature” argument could be used to anything.
M2 crybine vs FG, you were in disadvantage at long range but had ttk in your favor at cqc.
It was just “feature”
But apparently people prefer the more balanced red vs blue approach, hence the T20, hyde and so on.
So obviously, the bodyarmor doesnt fit the new approach of the game.

Good for you.Would be even better if you’ve taken time to actually get accustomed to things provided instead of bitching about ‘everyone whining’ and how ‘its not that big of deal’

Just as it was said, if its not that big of a deal - removing it shouldn’t be as well. Once its done no more people complaining about it other than Soviets mains getting butthurt they have to actually use superior equipement but with the same amount of health as the enemy

Had it not been for people like you, even though I doubt that you truly ‘dont care’ because all of the people who said so did care about their crutches, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Yet here we are because ‘only’ giving half the weapons +114ms of TTK is apparently a feature for some and removing it despite years of complaints is a sin

I’m sorry, there was a typo, at first I accidentally wrote 6.0, then I corrected it to 6.9 (the rest of the calculations are correct) now everything is correct.

Fair point, and if the devs remove it then so be it. I just think it’s hilarious that you all cry and act like body armour is the boogeyman and that it’s this game breaking bug. The amount of crying done on literally every community post is embarrassing.

Truly an incredible specimen. Your average body armor enjoyer should really be studied bacause the cope and seethe is just unimaginable. Even funnier is throwing ‘it doesnt matter’ and ‘its not noticable’ but fight with tooth and nail to keep it, excusing it with ‘body armor removal spam being annoying’

Double HP in a game where the TTK is extremely fast means nothing.

I’ll like to say that I won’t mind if the damage reduction is removed all together, however soviet mains (as we see) would complain about it, so keeping it for the assault engineers squad would probably be the comprise.

I have the same opinion as I have every time Body armor is brought up. Either “EVERY” faction should have body armor, or “NO” faction should have body armor.

Since “EVERY” faction had body armor, it is either extreme bias on Gaijin’s part to “ONLY” allow “ONE” faction to use it, or extreme “STUPIDITY” on Gaijin’s part. I think players can make their own determination on that.

I wonder what historical document told Gaijin that only the Soviets had access to body armor? :thinking:
