At least give an AT gunner or mortar squad, we dont have those.

I appreciate that more squads are becoming accessible to the playerbase. It’s a really important thing for the game.
However, I really don’t like that these squads will be saturating the silver box, making it much harder to acquire the more unique event squads. It’s ultimately replacing one FOMO with another.

Yeah that’s clear to me, I was replying to that guy complaining about Japan having no alt or legacy squads.

I’d like to finally get a British sniper squad, considering that the British weapon is the best sniper rifle in the U.S. tech tree.
I don’t own all legacy allied squads from Tunisia. But I don’t think there was an British sniper squad. (but I could be wrong).

One step forward and two steps back to be honest.
Im very happy that we get Italian and British squads, but this will result in a significant squad distribution problem where Axis and Allied factions have more squads to choose from than Soviet or Japanese factions.
Would a mechanic that allows all players regardless of faction to create new squads be too much to ask for?

Yep, you’re basically exactly correct. We saw all the posts about bring legacy squads back, but the logistics of them were incredibly awkward and difficult, especially due to some bugs it could have caused. So, solutions were made, new “alt squads” + legacy squads in the chest, which should suit everyone and address every purpose players wanted them for! And this is just the start obviously, there will be more events like this over time as Euthy’s first comment says.

Yes, but they won’t all be at once, some adjustments need to be made on them to make them all suitable to be re-obtained again by players, and just the priority on minor/alt nation squads in any case:

I want the most the British Sniper Squad and the Italian Assaulter since I played very little outside of the pacific and from the pacific I got no squads at all only if I played more Tunisia …

It would be better to have an event for rare rifles or submachine guns I’ve long wanted to see the 1929 BSA Thompson in an event.
Can we hope for 1 Zero legacy pilot squad for Japan since Japan is absolutely desperate for more vehicle squads?
