It is completely unusable in full auto mode now.
Empties the magazine in 1 second with an uncontrollable recoil. Also being unrealistic.
- Yes, correct its fire rate.
- Yes, make it semi-auto.
- No.

RoF changes require documents prooving the correct one. And you can just use it semi auto already, you could when it was burst fire and that option was never removed.
Similar thing as the old FG42, changed to use Auto mode by default for ease of use.
IMOP the Fedorov 25 as it is currently configured is complete ass, so I just don’t use it.
That being said, I play far more BR5 with the Allies or Germans then I do with the Soviets, so, I would rather have my enemies firing at me with weapons that shoot like ass, so leaving the Fedorov as is benefits me. ![]()
Seriously though, if I use the Fedorov I have to shoot in very short controlled bursts, and aim at the enemies knee caps, this way I might hit once in the leg, once in the chest and everything else is flying over the enemies head. I only have two of the Fedorov’s anyway so I really don’t care.
As for the ROF changes requests, if the weapon were made less then ass, I would consider using it, however, I am fine using the AVT 40-20.
It is a good gun on semi-auto mode, but completely trash on full-auto.
And it’s auto by default when you switch to a bot with it.
I am sure it would be good on semi auto only, but I have never tried it semi only. I’ve only ever used the Fedorov as a backup weapon, but as soon as I had enough silver to replace it as a backup, I did.
Now it sits only as a display weapon in my inventory.
I used it exclusively in semi before the full auto change - burst mode was really poor on the gun.
In my book full auto was still a buff for the gun - even if quite uncontrollable.
That being said, I bet everyone would be happy for the gun to get a bit of a rpm reduction.
Whats its got right now? It shot crazy fast, but dont remember the actual RPM, was it 1000rpm or something? 800RPM is really the gold standard for rpm in most cases.
its not that hard lmfao
Yeah, if I tried to just spray and pray with the Fedorov, I could unload the magazine and the enemy would have only had to worry about the first one or two bullets, since anything more then that was just wasted ammo over his head.
It would have to be lowered considerable for me to consider using it, and I play far more Germans then Soviets at BR5 so I really don’t care.
i only use it when i prone tbh or just burst since it too “realistic” for the game imo
it having more recoil than stinger is ridiculous tho
Change my mind: select fires should be that uncontrollable in general
Well, I am sure you could still make this gun work with double the recoil.
Comparing the AVT 40-20’s stats against the Fedorov, I don’t really see an advantage to using the Fedorov over the AVT-20.
The Fedorov has almost twice the ROF as the AVT, carries five more rounds in the magazine, is better at medium range (if the rounds actually hit the target), but overall the AVT has a slightly higher hit power, loads faster, better at long range and overall is far more controllable at all ranges.
Is the high rate of fire of the Fedorov really an advantage if 80% of those bullets are flying over the enemies head. ![]()

I don’t care if they change the Fedorov because I am quite happy with the AVT, and since I play more Allies and Germans at BR5, it doesn’t effect me anyway.
Its overall structure is similar to the 6.5mm version, and it is absolutely nonsense for developers to give it 1100 firie rate.
Yeah 1100 RPM is crazy fast empty…
Even if the gun was a laser beam, that RPM doesn’t help at all.
I mean a 25 round mag SFR is nice and all, but even FG42 is fast empty which is why more people like FG42 II.
Also its an event gun, so there is really no shame in having it a bit stronger than it is right now.
Again. Why aren’t all select fires like this. They should all have so much recoil ppl shoot them semi auto as default.
It’s the same reason I like the Browning 1919 A6 better then the M2 Stinger. It shoots slower, but is far more controllable in prolonged sustained fire then the Stinger.
I also use the M2 Carbine more often then the T-20. It doesn’t shoot as fast or hit as hard, but can carry over twice the ammo, which I find a more valuable asset for myself.
Why do you want it? To try and push rifleman out of meta?
No thanks… don’t touch my engineer.
Yes. The best rifle shouldn’t be the one available to all classes. It ruins both br 5 and 4
To each their own… i wouldn’t have it any different from constant full auto spam getting blown up every other monute.
