The LAD is a pre merge gold card gun. It was released together with the Conders MG back then, yet it has never been nearly as popular as the Conders MG.

It’s essentially a machine gun disguised as a submachine gun (if it actually benefited from machine gun bonuses, it would be even worse). Its 150 round magazine looks intimidating, but with an ammo pouch, the total ammo is only 150/150. And with its 690 ROF, at BR 5, you’ll struggle to burn through all that ammo in a match with many real players.
Because it uses pistol ammunition, its 6.6 damage means it typically takes three hits to kill a soldier with the health boost perk. Meanwhile, its opponents at the same BR are either submachine guns with much higher ROF or assault rifles with much higher damage, and they’ll often kill you first, even if you land the first shot.
Now let’s check its shots deviation.
Its accuracy is actually better than most SMGs, so the main way to play this gun is to lay down suppressive fire from a distance. But here’s the thing – why wouldn’t I just use the RD44 instead? It offers both higher damage and Higher ROF.
Aside from its magazine capacity, it can barely even win a straight gunfight against BR 3 weapons.
Have you ever actually emptied your ammo with the LAD in a match full of real players?
- Never
- I like using pistol rounds to suppress enemies from 100m out, Two mags aren’t enough
- I don’t have this gun
Should the LAD be adjusted?
- Yes, The LAD needs a buff
- No, That’s the cost of having a 150 round drum
How should the LAD be adjusted?
- Move to BR 4
- Improve accuracy
- Increase damage
- Add an extra magazine
- I have other ideas, and I’ll explain them in the comments
If you prefer the RD44 or what ever then dont use it.
Relatively simple.

This is how it should look like:

Not the BS options you have offered. I have no clue why is it so hard for people.
Anyway, there’s no need to change LAD in any way. It’s an unique weapon with highest mag/drum capacity. That itself makes it interesting to play.
There’s no reason for every weapon to be top meta.
And I own all previously available LADs (never got any from boxes).

No, it isn’t. It’s just tendentious/opinionated.

I like your point about fighting at a distance, but it’s hindered by the significant reduction in damage at long range, which exposes you and makes it difficult to kill the enemy quickly enough to respond.
I would reduce the damage drop, but I can’t think of a logical justification for it. However, I believe it’s necessary.
Conders is better than the german TT stuff, thatswhy many players use it.
LAD is nice but soviets already have peak tier assault rifles and 1 very fun SMG, the need to buy LADs is much less than in case of germany.
I bought only 1 long ago just to have it but rarely use it as the soviets have infinite very fun and very strong other stuff - to no one’s surprise, as theyre the strongest infantry nation on BR5.
Should it be buffed? the stats not as, that just causes more detrimental power creep. what could be buffed is the missing reserve ammo, as that barely increases power but strongly increases fun and convenience.

I think this gun is like a toy gun with a large-capacity ammunition chamber. If I were to stay at the front to fight, before I could finish firing 150 rounds, I would already be down.
Well, just because RD44 is the best MG in the game, doesn’t mean LAD is worthless, especially since LAD isn’t a MG to begin with. MGs are more limited that SMGs.
If LAD had a 30 round mag, it would be a BR2-BR3 SMG. 150 rounds is impressive for sure. But you might have a point about it being BR5 is kind of a waste.
I like how tendentious / opinionated you are

Conders is also better than ppsh tbf
Nah 30 round mag would make the lad br 1 to be honest. Not that I think it necessarily needs a buff. I like my bottomless peashooter
It is pretty bad gun ngl. Putting it on BR 4 would at least make it somewhat… usable. Maybe. I’d probably just still uses PPD with drum mag over this gun on BR 4 but at least it wouldn’t be as hopeless as it is on BR 5 rn.
Q: Do I have to take part in this poll?
A: If you feel offended, you can simply not vote.
Q: Am I being tendentious / opinionated?
A: I never guided anyone on how to vote. I never cast a single yes vote on my own post. I analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the gun. Votes were entirely based on personal judgment. People who voted yes agreed with some of my points and gave their own views. People who voted no couldn’t offer any argument other than “it has a 150 round drum” — even though my whole post was about the downsides of that same drum
Q: Then why don’t you just go play the RD44?
A: That’s exactly my point. The RD44 is a straight upgrade. It does everything the LAD does, but better, higher damage, higher ROF, better accuracy. The LAD has a direct, clearly superior alternative sitting right there at the same BR. And that’s precisely what makes this gun so awkward.
huh, didn’t know my partisans could use an RD-44… and 100rd thompson plus lad is pretty funny combo

Wow the argument that it’s good right now boils down to pointing at its strongest stat crazy!
It’s also not an SMG. While it might be better I can’t put the RD-44 on my Assaulters, Drivers, Guerillas or Paratroopers (I know it’s in the box that’s not the same thing).
Also it’s a requirement of the forum to have non biased polls, your first one is biased.

690 RPM 30 rounds is in no way a BR1 gun.
