youre doing great work here and applying actually serious scientific work.
only problem: randoms in this forum only undertand “ooga-booga my source(s) say this, so it must be true ooga-booga” without understanding how work with primary sources really works & how to evaluate the relevance hierarchy of sources.
simply said, it makes more sense teaching a toddler math than teaching the enlisted forum serious, precise thinking, especially when it involves nunances apects like technical flexibility of guns.
I’m a little confused here, so the Devs reduced it’s rpm because of “more accurate documents”, just for the documents to be wrong and the original values that could be found on Wikipedia were right all along.

I’m talking about full sized rifles, the ones that kill in one hit from a distance. Just because the johnson and type got moved down to br3 does not mean they aren’t br4 worthy.
They should be placed at BR3 as everything power creeped Germany. BR4 doesn’t exist we both know it. At BR3 it would still have to compete vs PPSh-41 box, BAR, SVT-38, Garand + johnson combo, Dp-27. They could nerf recoil and dmg of mkb42 or make it spawn with just 20 mags.
Im an archeologist but im not world war 2 expert however I have seen them being fired type 96 and type 99 NATO chambered replicas and type 99 definitely don’t have same rate of fire of type 96. There is Omaha celebration in France and Netherlands later have WW 2 celebrations where they bring a lot of WW 2 weapons and even tanks and vehicles so I manage to watch it was very fun.
Well there is a problem cuz the US source states 800 and Japanese 550 but you should understand WW 2 nations had no technology to actually test the rate of fire like right now we have the old method is not that accurate like right now. Now we have cameras and this is not some prototype that we can’t test but in majority of museums the rate of fire is stated 700 not 550 or 800 and they have the actual weapons so im willing to trust the Museum over some old document.
Honestly now it’s not worth using anymore as due additional rof it’s too unstable. It needs a buff to it’s dispersion. Old version of a gun was the most accurate smg of all BR2 smgs and now it’s just a bit better ZK-383 which is not that great.
maybe it’s time to point at the enemies or go prone?
recoil is much worse on for example MG42 100 or Stinger you need to use bipod/crouch or burst while RD-44 hits almost all shots like STG44 without even need to use any buff enhancing tricks
as if I didn’t do this, it’s just that everyone who sees a fighter with this “machine gun” shoots only at vulnerable parts of the body, and even bots don’t aim at the shield during shooting, and they have to lie down only when shooting at a distance, and in this case, there is no firefight with bots, and they only shoot back. players who can hit the head of a recumbent target covered with a piece of iron that inspires imaginary security to the fighter
