And I was told that Soviet submachine guns have lower dispersion… only true for PPSh-41 (box)
This proves my point, Soviets have too much recoil compared to Germany . More dispersion too especially if you count how much all bullets you’ve fired have dispersed.
I’m not too sure about the American side, but I believe comrade @wastedwoodsman may be right about bias for Germany in that regard too (except for the M1921/28 Thompson because I’ve used it for USSR and it often 1 shot downs someone at 30-50 meters)

Have you accounted for TTK? Imo something like recoil etc per kill would be more meaningful than per second.
For example
PPD-34 has 220 recoil/s but 40 recoil/kill
MP-28 has 110 recoil/s but 36 recoil/kill
Also what the hell is dispersion per second? How did you calculate a probability(?) per second?

I knew I was forgetting something, but that’s only relevant at close range because once you get out into an open field over 50+ meters then the Germans have the advantage, I recently went back and used the FNAB-43 and I went off slaughtering at close and long ranges, Most German submachine guns can do this while the Soviets only have the PPS-42 that can preform this way. (unless you count gold orders like the LAD, PDM-42, and PPSh-40 which i am very fond of ) But i want nothing more than to run through Moscow with the old PPD-40, with the old sound, with the old recoil. (This was the only game where you could use SMGs as they were used in real war “atleast by the Soviets” which was, if you can see your enemy with your eyes then he is in close enough range to line up you sights and hold the trigger until he drops)
Here are some Soviet soldiers taking advantage of the higher effective firing range of PPSh-41 Submachine guns from Stalingrad rooftops (the ranges there firing at are probably closer to 200 meters)

I originally wasn’t going to include it, but I added it in because I wanted to show how much every bullet fried in that second combined added together had dispersed, it probably doesn’t mean anything.
Ok that’s enough information

I believe you brought up a pretty fair point but I lost my shit when I saw “Car Stalin” and Steve with the Glock.

@Wastedwoodsman
That name causes some people on the fourm to experience pain equal to that of a demon hearing the mentioning of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) but your probably wondering how it got to that point…
It all began in the early 2020s when wastedwoodsman encountered the mythical “German bias” in the form of the second model Fallschirmjägergewehr 42, woodsman was furious because the most similar gun to it was the BAR rifle family which was unavailable to Allied Riflemen.
Woodsman took to the fourms demanding balance between the sides but the German mains gathered together and clowned him because they knew that if the Americans could equip 9 Riflemen with fully automatic 30-06 hellfire, then the tides would no longer be in there favor.
The German mains got together and panicked! They knew they were in trouble so the painted woodsman as a deranged lunatic that wanted to cause a shitstorm within the realm of balance and order, and woodsman unfortunately took the bait. The German mains then let out a sigh of relief because now woodsman was occupied arguing with the German mains and had forgotten to bring up other advantages the germans had such as being defenders 90% of the time which made rifle grenade spam more convenient.
To gain some traction and sympathy for their side, they brought up woodsmans controversial takes on Allied planes which were an actual nightmare and made me rage quite a bit back when i mained Normandy Axis (this was before Moscow and Berlin came to console) but i will tell you this, woodsman was a good player, before i disabled crossplay i ran into woodsman a few times, he was always at or near the top of the scoreboard and did better than half my team which were probably some of the people criticising him on the fourm.
But Gaijin sent him to Banworld after certain fourm members schemed together a plan to get rid of him by baiting him into a heated argument and it worked, they got rid of the man and he never got his BARs and Johnsons for Allied Riflemen ![:frowning: :frowning:](https://forum.enlisted.net/en/images/emoji/twitter/frowning.png?v=12)

What are you talking about.
I liked the guy a lot…

Ok what did I just read? This sounds like a Reddit iceberg that I’ve stumbled upon. You seem very sympathetic to this woods man, you seem to believe in the same things except for the planes which I’m not too keen on because I can’t fly that well, but don’t you think if you complain like him they’ll ban you as well?

There is only 1 way to Banworld, and that is using insults in various forms.
So then he was deserving of it.

They baited him into it. They shot him like a dog

Ill take your word for it.
I cant believe they give Germans an advantage.
They already have those OP 20 mags. What else do they need? Cant people see that those 71 rounds high rof SMGs with about same recoil and dispersion and dmg are useless?

Some high-scientific method made by Soviet Russia to prove us that Soviets suffer.

dispersion per second cannot be calculated because dispersion is a probability that isn’t uniform since bullets are more likely to go to the center instead of the edge

Actually, how does it work? Some kind of Standard deviation?
Imagine you can get a random number from 0…1
To get a random point on some other surface you need to somehow generate multiple random coordinates that satisfy that surface.
For a square this is easy, just take random x 0…1 and random y 0…1 and here you got a point that will be in a square of size 1.
With circles it’s not that simple, because x and y coordinate actually have a relation (unlike the square) (the relation is x^2 + y^2 = R^2)
Still, not a problem.
What people usually do is this: take a random rotation from 0…360 and then take a distance from 0…Radius.
And you can imagine selecting a random point on a circle as selecting a random direction and then walking a random distance from 0 to Radius in that direction.
This may sound like what we want, but here is the problem. If you take a piece of paper and draw a circle, and then start drawing a ton of lines from the centre to the edge, you will notice that there is much more ink density near the centre.
The same thing actually happens in the code, where points will be slightly more likely to appear toward the centre than to the edge.

OK, then I guess the dispersion stat is the radius/diameter of the circle?
