Uptier Uragan SMG and Fedorov 1912 (or remove them completely))

Problem isnt the Soviet Weapons (well, the Federov Rifle is disgusting powercreep).
The problem is Axis lacking a tech tree SMG with 690 rof, 6.8 damage, and 30 round magazine. That is all that they need to be competitive against Russia.
Dropping the MP 35/I to BR2, with 690 rof, 7.2 damage, and 32 rounds would make it essentially equal against the PPS-43 + Body Armour combo (the time to kill and kill ranges would be almost identical)

I wouldn’t be against equalizing Semi-Autos in BR2. I would lean towards nerfing the federov rifle (and Lui Rifle) to 13.9 damage, and bringing the Armaguerra to 13.9 damage.
The Type Hei and Type Otsu rifle are fair at that damage range. 5 rounds with 13.9 dmg is unreliable at always killing a soldier in one hit, and it should be balanced this way, so that bolt-actions are not completely irrelevant in BR2 ( / playing BR1 against BR2 would be miserable).

Giving an SMG 10 damage is an absolutely absurd take.

it’s just an impressive level of stupidity

They must’ve forgot most assault rifles range from 9 to 12 points of damage per shot lol

It was around 800 rpm when forgotten weapons shot it and closer to 900 when others have tested it in the range(firing ranges in real life I mean). So for it to stay in br3 with around 780 without upgrades would make it the smg to counteract the ppSh box

seen his video and he didnt talk anything about rate of fire(unless there are multiple videos of him shooting it).

Both weapons are indeed super weird.

Very obscure, never used in WW2, but incredibly good and in tech tree?

There was only one of him shooting it. However there were other users that recorded themselves shooting it in full auto. And all of them showed the mp35 firing at around 900 rpm.

Skip rounds then or did they pull it he rate of fire off of Wikipedia?

Bc to me it didn’t sound as slow as displayed. However it may have been skip rounds once more. May’ve been why the rof sounds faster than it actually was

only shows guy shooting it and he spends full mag(32 mag?) in ~3-4 seconds giving rof 500-640 rpm.

overall i have seen no evidence of that 900rpm.

Why, if it shoots half as fast as the PPS-43 and Uragan, shouldn’t it hit twice as hard?. Obviously 10 is not twice as hard and that was just an analogy, however, if it’s going to shoot half as fast as the enemies smg it needs more then just a slight increase to the hitting power. Better yet, DF should just buff the FNAB it to where it should be between 600-800, leave the hitting power where it currently is, then we can all hold hands sitting around a camp fire singing Kumbaya and have a semblance of universal smg harmony in BR2.

He also was firing in long bursts. He didn’t dump all of the ammo in one go

wiki with its source shows 540rpm and some other sources show 650rpm.

to get to 900rpm he would need to clear the mag in ~2 seconds with full auto fire. also idk mag size cause there is 24 and 32 magazine for the mp35.

Yeah but what I’m trying to point out is he’s firing around 5-8 rounds every burst(in the second clip he fired just 2 single shots in the beginning), and then take half a second or so to fire another burst. In both clips, he did that. Now if he dumped all 32 rounds without without letting go of the trigger and it took him that long then it’d make sense.

he takes fraction of a second before shooting again. overall full auto shooting is ~4 seconds and all those pauses dont take more than a second together, which would make it at best ~650rpm gun.

like i said before give me source for those claims, or at least someone who is shooting full 32 mag in full auto without pauses in 2 seconds.

A lot of historical sources doesn’t seem very reliable when it comes to RoF of guns. See FNAB-43, Type 99 LMG, Type 100 Early, etc.

even bergmann manual claims 700-800rpm for mp32.

checked video and without editing software i cant estimate time. he started shooting at 4:09 and ending at 4:11 few frames before it switched to 4:12, so i cant say if it is 2 seconds or 2.5 seconds.

depends on the source, who tested it and on what conditions. manufacturer may claim one ROF cause of ideal conditions with lighter recoil spring and certain ammo. army might want to get heavier recoil spring to increase reliability and reduce wasting ammo. also it depends if it was made prewar or during war conditions where quality might suffer a little.

this has been the case with mg42 where manual shows 1500rpm, but any captured mg42 tested ~1200rpm or 900rpm with heavy bolt. according to one source 1500rpm was possible with certain kind of ammo.

also mp35 has different designations depending on factory that made it there is possibility of different performance depending on who made it.

This would be the rpm to buff the mp35 to then. Perhaps keep it at 730-740ish when not upgraded yet and then with it being upgraded being around 852.
