Update 0.6.0.72

I have massive framerate drops due to this update. Game becomes kind of unplayable …

Being able to spawn the APC squad without the APC now is great. . .Why the heck can’t we use it to move the APC then? If my APC is still alive and I respawn the squad on it, I should be able to use it. Like move it up when capturing or move it back when defending.

Welcome to the community!

I fully, 100%, agree with this.

It’s a driver squad, it should be able to, you know, drive.

Do you use the driver soldier for that? He’s the only one able to move your apc.

I gotta test later

I’m pretty sure anyone in the driver squad can move the APC. 95% sure I’ve been able to in the past.

Yes, any soldier from the squad that has spawned with APC can move it.
But once your squad is wiped, any new squad can’t move with APC.

Maybe if your APC is alive and any of your driver class could move it? Seems a bit of an edge case honestly, Dev effort over benefit?

when will you fix the graphics and color palette?

graphics - everything became soapy

color palette - it became very hot, everything is blue-blue and orange

Colt Swarz is still prioritized by AI soldiers

Also make the game “forget” the “spawn without vehicle” option for APC squads - I just need it once, not every time from now on.

The ap-mines became so useless that placing mines on enemy rallys is the only usefull thing you can do right now. You have to become toxic to enjoy at least a little bit those ap-mines.

When someone steps in them they only “poof” and absolutely nothing happens. Just some small scratches.

The ap-mines are nerfed to the ground because some cry babies thought those mines are “OP”…
Just use your eyes when entering a room. Since years they worked as typical mines and there are other ways to nerf them: 3-5 sec delay time, better visibility,…

Now they are just a joke and useless.

Preach, King.

@James_Grove can you check whether the patch unintentionally affects other weapons? The recoil patterns on many guns feel weird to me, with added random recoils that weren’t present before the patch. Check Conders, ppsh41, and mp35, they now all have a perpendicular recoil pattern to the right, and I swear they had minimal recoil before.

The worst case is the Vickers on the event paratrooper squad, its recoil is literally uncontrollable now. Something must be broken.

I also found it strange that my soldiers survived a direct AP mine hit. I hate AP mines, but this seems to be overdone.

What I wish is:

  1. At least the soldier triggering the mine should be out of business, no need for a squad wipe though (as a body should protect the rest of the squad behind, that would mean no more than 2 or 3 deaths when running in a column)

  2. Make AP mines explode after cooldown when placed next to/on top of rally points, so rally point mining is less toxic - you place it, it blasts the rally point. If you wish to kill the spawning soldiers, place multiple ones to some more remote locations where they can actually be seen and avoided if the spawned soldiers are observant. WW2 soldiers don’t teleport, they should have a chance to see a mine when getting to a rendezvous point, however abstracted our one is.

  3. Make AP mines extremely sensitive to explosions, so all the explosives hell just triggers them immediately even in non-lethal range (I don’t know whether it is so right now)

  4. Optionally give an AP mine detection/removal perk for some soldier classes with explosives experience, that auto-detects mines if the soldier is near enough and looking in the proper direction.

@James_Grove do you think any of these are possible in a later Making Enlisted a Better Place?

Yes. At least this unlucky dude.

Wtf? This destroys the last bit of fun you have with those mines.
Do you know a decent counter tactic for mines on rally points? Just put a mine on your (or a team mates) rally and its done. The enemy guy that wants to put a mine on your rally will blow up (and in many cases the rally is destroyed too so no more mine can be placed). Its a typical l2p issue.

Hell no. They already explode when someone throws a grenade in the rough area (still some meters away). Nerf the already nerfed mines, great.

Yes, could be a good option for snipers and/or engineers.

Just…use…your…eyes.

Fact is, that those mines needs a slight buff again. They are silly and useless right now - I dont even care and am not afraid when entering a room because you just won’t die…

I wouldnt say they are useless, im still dying to them when I run over one, id say you got very lucky with that trench run. I mean for the effort put into using them, and the ability to deny a rush or at least daze the attacker, its worth it I think. I mean ill still be using them in doorways and etc

I wouldnt say their easy to see though, when your vision is blurred as is, you cant hear shit over a machine gun and you know you just need to get into solid cover because youve just seen the guy next to you plop, its easy to befall them, I mean yeah just like real life, if your careful while mine clearing, you should be ok. But this isnt a mine clearing operation, in dark light environments which many objectives are, they are easy to miss.

… easy to miss - and still nothing happens when stepping on one except you stand totally still. And you never stand totally still in this game.

I placed TWO mines in a doorway, Happy Ivan stepped in, both mines exploded but nothing happended because he rushed on and killed me instantly with his brrrrt machine.

Those mines became a joke - or as many people and me included already said: U S E L E S S

I just think people are misusing them, but what might be nice to see would be engineers to carry more mines, like up to 3 each.

As for you placing two in a doorway and failing to kill the guy, sucks I guess, never had that issue, ive only seen its rarely a mine fails to kill the guy, maybe thats because im at lower br’s and less people have the vitality upgrades.

But would totally agree they could do with a knockdown nerf

…and now imagine that Ivan with the event knife - he will fly over those mines!

I only play BR2 (BR5 is a sweat fest) and many more veterans do so. There are many with 15% sprint perk and/or vitality perk.

Mines have to kill an enemy instantly. Nothing more, nothing less.

I love the ap mine nerf. I hope it stays.

Mine spam is less cancerous now, it’s possible to focus on gameplay and normal Enlisted pace.

Mines are still useful to delay the enemy, without earning cheap no counter kills.

To those saying “just look on the ground for mines” I say “just look for enemies, and shoot them.”

Peace.

AP mines suggestion

the damage reduction is useless. I run over 4 of them without getting damage.
give the AP mines the old damage back BUT do it like system from the engineers. For Example: if they build 3 ammo boxes and start building a 4th one, the first one get destroyed. Same system could be used with AP mines. Let the user place max 3-4 at the same time and if they spam more, the previous get destroyed
