That means nothing and doesn’t answer my question. Explain to me why Germany needs an extremely powerful TT gun that no other faction gets, that doesn’t make sense and isn’t historical.
Sure, they “emphasized” the light machine gun, but no German soldier just casually carried the amount of ammunition you want to have, nor does it make any kind of sense in the game.

well to be technically correct, there were soldiers that carried that amount of ammo, just that they didnt have MG.

Each rifle squad had 1,150 rounds of ammunition for its machine gun. The machine gunner carried a 50-round belt drum loaded for quick reaction to contact. The assistant machine gunner carried 4 additional 50-round belt drums as the first-line ammo load and a 300-round ammo box. Two additional 300-round ammo boxes were carried by the riflemen. Before 1943, these 2 boxes would have been carried by an ammunition bearer (a third member for the LMG Team). Unlike in the U.S. Army and British Army, there were no special pouches or bags for carrying ammo for squad-level auomatic weapons or machine gun belts. Thus, the ammo boxes would be carried by hand.
although i have seen sources that claim 1800 rounds per squad, but nevertheless if going by run and gun style, machine gunner would use just 50 round drum magazine(which should be norm for all nations). that is why i like this suggestion
simply 2 modes for all nations:
- run and gun with max 50 round drum/belt
- deployable static MG with 100+ belt

i guess you want 9 soldier squad where 1 soldier has mg42, 1 has mp40 and other 7 have kar98k…
when on bipod they were classified as LMG, when on tripod/fixed they were classified as HMG(old classification by weight, not by caliber). so in infantry squads they were used mostly as LMG.

You keep bringing this up, but as has been explained to you multiple times, individual soldiers would never carry 250 rounds on their person unless they were in a fixed position, considering the sheer weight of an MG42 with the ammunition included. It also did not fire at 1500 rpm with standard bolts installed.
So I’ll ask again, cite your source. Show which piece of “German doctrine” proves your claim.

The MG42 is a GPMG, also called a UMG. GPMGs are not simultaneously LMGs, MMGs, and HMGs. Those are specific categories of MGs. A GPMG can just fill multiple roles either as a mounted weapon or as SAW/ISW, which the 42 saw use as both.
The MG42 is an LMG because it can be carried and operated by a single soldier if needed, and because it uses the same cartridge as infantry rifles. What it can’t do, is fill the role of an M2 browning which is an HMG.
I suggest you do more research before trying to sound smart.
