Because we gonna add the KV-1 at one point and this thing actually got normal crew size and turret, the KV-1 also got very similar mobility it will out do the T-34 to the point of making it useless
In no way did they avoid sending the tanks in once a tank vs tank engagement actually happened, however. Sure, they tried to avoid them as the Soviet armor (T-34/KV-1) was superior than what they had at the time on paper. And they could just go around to cut supply lines most of the time anyways

Theory and practice are two separate things, as you wrote.
However, whenever asymetrical balance happens, everyone complains.
Look at the MP nerfs
It’s already in game and the KV-1 got the same weak spots the T-34 had

no it is not, lmfao. they removed it. And the KV-1 HAS NO WEAK SPOTS AT ALL, being 70mm at its thinnest in the rear, compared to 45mm flat on the T-34

I am not sure how you see balance guys, but I see balance as the ability to counter each other…

That’s dmg and recoil balance
Plus insane recoil on PPD wasn’t even realistic
And KV-1 cannot be countered by anything, so sure you have a great view on balance 
from the rear

Yes. One side had worse SMGs than the other. Which was an issue for everyone. So why is having better tanks on the other side suddenly all OK?

It’s more about knowing weak spots… This isn’t KV-1B just KV-1
75mm armor if you hit it flat, which most of the time wouldn’t happen thanks to its curves.
And you completely forget most of the tanks we have are not armed with a 50mm gun. Good luck fighting a KV-1 in your Pz2
And I see balance if skill is the only factor when deciding who wins in an equal engagement. For example, tank vs tank, smg vs smg, etc.
So your way of seeing balance is impossible to achieve.
