In the game you can buy tank camos for gold. The price is quite high and i was bummed to see that i can only use the bought camo for 1 specific tank. This should not be the case and you should be able to use the camo on any tank once you buy it.
But i understand that the devs want to make money somehow (ignoring all the premium content, elite bp, premium account etc) so i have decided to come up with a compromise. Allow tanks that are very similar with eachother to share the camos you bought.
For an example if i buy an camo for panther A i should also get the same camo for panther G since they are nearly identical.
List of tanks that should have shared camos (only tt because i dont remeber all premiums):

Tiger e and tiger h1 because they are nearly identical
Tiger 2p and tiger 2h because same hull
m3 stuart and m3 stuart flamethrower because they are literally same tank
m8 scott and m5a1 because same hull
m4a1 and m4a1 76w because same tank with different gun and mantlet
jumbo and jumbo 76w because same tank with different gun
m4a2 and m4a2 76w because same tank with different gun and mantlet
T-28 and T-28e because same tank with slight mods

Sadly this will not solve the issue, since the camouflage of tanks do not change with the campaign so your Sherman II with desert camo could easily just end up in the snowy Ardennes or on the beaches of Normandy.
The real solution is camo changing with campaigns just like uniforms of soldiers.
this is kind of an insane idea, but what if you could… make your own camo?
I mean, every faction has a set of spray cans of a certain color (you will not make a bright pink clown tank, sorry) and you can “draw” with those paint cans any way you want over your tank
the same reason why in modern gaming you can’t upload custom emblems anymore, or like in ths forum, the ability to upload custom banners on your profile ( which used to be a thing ).
because of few individuals who would draw penis or titties.
that’s a no no. ( well actually, not just those. but… making fun of other nations figures, political messages, Zs etc etc. )
so everyone must be precluded from doing anything because of few individuals.
and to save them headaches while making everything simple without working too much, ( as… such system would require still some work to do ) they opted for just fixed pngs.
hell, we don’t even have the scale & rotation or quality sliders of the texture unlike wt.
