The Tunisian campaign, as we all know, has messed up progression. Therefore I have decided to come up with a list of armored vehicles, in campaign order, and against fair matches (I bet you can agree that it’s better than what we have now). I may or may not make entire tables for aircraft and guns as well, this list took me quite some time. You can make one of your own if you have some good ideas. I would recommend that if you disagree with something, please leave a comment. The main idea behind this post is to attempt to improve the progression in Tunisia, I don’t necessarily want everything form this list in the game.
My idea for swapping equipment in the game is as follows: If the player has unlocked the item (i.e. vehicle/gun), they have access to the respective squad and the items they unlocked, however they can not obtain any more of the item from logistics (no spare parts for vehicles). Also this game is still in beta so changes like these would be acceptable.
Also, please don’t get all pessimistic and say things like “Devs don’t care.” I bet the team is busy on different things, and they have their priorities, which may be erroneous, but they have them.
Also, thanks Stein Grenadier for the idea of adding low level tank destroyers, check out his post: Tank Destroyers should be available sooner in the unlock tree instead of being so high up
✠ Axis ✠ | ★ Allies ★ | Details |
---|---|---|
L3/33 CC | Light Tank Mk VI | Small, lightly armored and lightly armed “tanks” with poor anti-tank capabilities, I think they would be a cute, but fairly useless addition. |
AB-41 | Daimler Mk II | Small and nimble armored cars, good for flanking (Please fix AB-41’s armor). |
Marder III | M3 GMC | Early game tank destroyers. They allow new players to have a fighting chance against later tanks, but don’t have the armor or anti-infantry capabilities of later tanks. |
M14/41 | A13 Mk II | Decent medium tanks, good at dealing with infantry and most tanks (Please change the Breda reload, it doesn’t take 8 sec to reload a 24 rnd mag). |
Pz. III F | Crusader Mk III | Fairly mobile and fairly armored medium tanks with quick-firing cannons. |
75/32 M41 | M10 | Tank destroyers again, this time with bigger cannons for bigger opponents. |
Panzer III M | Matilda II MK III | Tanks with thicker armor. |
Pz. IV F2 | M4A1 Sherman | The workhorses of The Second World War. Reliable and feature good armor and cannons. |
Panzer III N (w/ HEAT shells) | M3 Grant | Good all-around tanks. Featuring good armor, good penetration, and good anti-infantry performance. |
Tiger H1 | Churchill Mk IV | The big heavies, Churchill Mk IV might seem like an unworthy opponent for the Tiger, but the quick-firing cannon shoots 57 mm solid-shot shells that can penetrate over 100mm of steel. |
Premiums/Other tanks I considered | ||
AB-43* | Stuart III | Mobile light tanks, good mobility and decent cannons with quick reloads. |
47/32 L40 | Carrier, Armoured, 2-pounder (40 mm)* | Unique open-top tank destroyers sporting decent 40mm cannons. Adequate starter vehicles, also might catch the eyes of collectors (watch it get added and cost $50). |
L3/35 LF | Wasp Mk II* | Flame tanks! But it’s a tankette and an APC because they look cute, and also a real flame tank would be hell. |
Celere Sahariano* | T18 (37mm) | Fascinating tank designs, both are quick and feature startling protection. |
Tiger 131 (Tiger H1) | Churchill Mk III | I had the idea of this being a premium pack including the one and only Tiger 131, and the cause of its fate. |
*Only prototype, or no sources confirming service in North Africa
