I feel “capture content” should only be given to a faction if they did something, anything to make it unique. Otherwise you have both sides running around with copy and pastes of each other. Yes obviously during this war thousands of arms were captured between all sides, but in this game every faction should stand on its own so each faction feels completely unique
The Soviet Panzerfaust 60 and 100 should be replaced with more proper gadgets. These AT gadgets are experimental prototypes and there is nothing wrong with having experimental content in the Research Trees, as we already have some
PTG-44, a PTRD modified to fire a warhead, 170mm penetration
LPG-44, the father of the RPG, 150mm penetration
TPG-90, an earlier model of the LPG that used a larger warhead, 200mm penetration
I’d prefer if the soviets used their own weapons but this could cause a stir because people don’t like when their stuff gets changed (like the gewher 43 Kurtz change). Also it would be more effort for people to grind a new at weapon instead of keep using the panzerfaust.
To be fair that was to make it historical instead of a fictional burst. Of coarse some people would say that this game is already “fictional” but it’s about different lines and standards. Sure weapons and vehicles are all over the place but they should at least be represented correctly
I’m sure they could easily just switch it. Also even if they wouldn’t replace the Panzerfausts and added these gadgets to the research tree they’d still need to be grinded in the first place
I am against captured weapons in the tech tree, but Panzerfausts were indeed widely used by the USSR at the end of the war. Through laziness of developers and indifference of 10-year-old players in enlisted something like periods of war do not exist, so there is no place where a captured panzerfaust would fit, there is instead Volkssturm near Moscow in 1941.
give more tanks slot to soviets to represent the mass they had, 3-4 instead of 2
and make panzerfaust possible to be picked up from dead soldiers up by other german soldiers
