I just learned that Ki-100 had its first flight in February 1945 and now my day is ruined /s
How can I use it now on Guadalcanal and Solomon Islands in 1942-43?
According to Wikipedia and Google, Ki-100 was essentially a radial-engined version of the Ki-61, offering improved climb rate and maneuverability at the cost of some top speed. Both were capable fighters with a blend of energy and turn fighting characteristics.
And since Ki-61 first flew in December 1941, it would’ve been a much better choice for BR3 and the whole duration of the war.
Even if its stats Ingame were unchanged at all, Ki-100 really should be Ki-61.

Just add both of them. Japan already has ton of stuff that wasnt used on their maps. Even in low br. Ho-i, ke-ni, ta-se, type 2a, type 4 and 5 launchers, type hei, type otsu etc

True but I don’t see the point in adding a 1945 plane to BR3 when you can basically add the same exact plane but model 1941.
But it has alread been added so it is too late. They dont want to remove/replace anything since it is wiser to add both
It has no reasoning Japan had no doubt a lot of Chi-Nu tanks xD There is like one part of GE/US community that keep whining despite being the most spoiled factions about this plane if Japan gets something nice they can’t stop crying about it. I hope the devs leave Ki 100 in BR III and move Ki 61 also to BR III Game Over xD There is literally Jumbos,Pershings and Ho-Ri but the Ki 100 is a big problem … xD

How would a change of name/3D model from Ki 100 to Ki 61 hurt you so much?
Well to me it doesn’t matter since Ki -61 is my favorite plane but they are so similar in performance that will change nothing in Warthunder they are in the same BR. But yeah forget about WW 2 realism since they removed the campaigns US used zero Jumbos in the pacific and Pershing’s and you are having Stalingrad full of King Tigers simply the Ki-100 is not even the worst non historic vehicle or weapon on the maps. I mean how Chi-Nu on the same BR is more realistic then Ki-100 Chi-Nu was not even used it didnt leave mainland Japan xD
I’m not saying “it’s the worst”, I’m saying if there are two almost identical plane variants, one from 1941 and the other from 1945 – add the 1941 one to keep that tiny bit of WW2 we still have.

They can put them on the same BR or switch them I’m simply surprised so much whining of this plane simply cuz Japan got BR III fighter and the US cry baby’s need to use some brains and cant fight something different then Zero. For ages they are camping with their Shermans and their Churchills immune to the little 60 kg bombs of the Zero and now they realize well maybe its not the skill but the Japanese vehicles sucked cant wait to get ground attacker with cannons and not some 7.7mm MGs…

And I can go on since the release of this plane I’m listening how ‘‘OP’’ it is cuz the plane is good against the P-51 so they cant switch to a hellcat for a bit of cash or for free use a spitfire …or learn to play the P-51… or use P-38 … or plenty of crazy premium\event ground attackers and fighters that they have at BR III + a lot of super good tanks… while Japan is stuck with the worst ground attacker and tanks.
Yeah I just care about WW2 not “X faction sufffers” so my point is about a different thing
There is Ki-43-III otsu if you want something on that BR but there is not a perfect solution since all this 3 planes in war thunder are on the same BR so here they can put them on the same BR III and people can have a choice what to play. IF we got to be full realism you will have N1K2-J at BR III and very bad tanks as Japan so there wont be balance. Same is with Germany and the Tigers if you put the Tiger I in BR III imagine what will happen.
