My knowledge of the matter was that SN-42 was ordered at 100,000 in 1942
Then why not limit it to some event/ BP soilders and a select few event squads, then nobody would care. But if the option to give body armour to every soviet soilder exists people with naturally trying and give them self any benefit meaning that they will equip it to everyone making it wat to common.
Its rare, my point is that both JP and USSR used them STILL MORE than Allies or Axis. Only 1 UK para division dropped with body armor in 1944, and US marines used them in Okinawa? (or someother island landing)
Purely anicdotal, unless you have any source that proves more than 10,000 were made and issued then we canāt go off a untrust worthy source. But even if 100,000 were produced thatās still 1% of the entire soviet army, not really āstandard issueā meaning itād still be suitable for event squads.
The soviets may have used it more but even the Sovietās use of it was extremely limited, to put it simpler, 2 is twice as much as 1 but 2 is still very little.
100k is more than half the weapons in the research trees production run.
Even 10k would qualify.
Its fine, were speaking of degrees of difference here. At the end of the day most players would like to see more survivability mechanics,
Ive suggested a bunch in my write ups:
- medic vehicles that replenish squads August Storm - Soviet-Japan New Style Campaign Pack Concept
- radio squad ability to raise number of tickets as a call; radio squad buildable 3rd type of rally (HQ rally) in Turning the Tide - Operation Citadel & Bagration 43-44 Campaign Concept
- body armor for japan + USMC event squad Awoke a Sleeping Giant - Manila, Iwo Jima 1945 Campaign
- body armor for UK paras For King And Country - Op Mercury, Monte Cassino, Market Garden. New Style Campaign Concept
Vehicles are only getting stronger, we need more infantry comeback and or survivability features. NOT LESS
Not every soilder can carry an as44 but every soilder can be equipped with body armour making it feel much less rare.
Enlistedās time to kill has always been low, this is only exaggerated at br5. Making everyone a turtle who can survive absurd amounts of damage is silly. But I also think that there are ways to increase survivability while still retaining Enlistedās satisfying gunplay. The solutions I have include bots seeking cover, therefore bombs and enemy fire would become less effective. Another solution would be improve medic AI to heal others, and making bots use medkits more often. Also the regeneration of soilders could be increased or the amount of health restored by medkits could be increased.
1 squad is not a problem. multiple squad is.
It would still be a lot rarer than it is now, currently your whole lineup can have armour.
Wait till 25x HVAR F-82 shows up or 3x1ton bomb Tu-2
Like, the game is going to go towards more features, not less.
Most lineups from 1-2 years ago will struggle against current meta stuff.
I personally dont want to remove things from the game, but we can agree to disagree and move on.
Good chat.
Just remove the protection bonus, leave the cosmetic.
No need to compensate, since the cosmetic appearance would be kept.
Same as uber Dutch soldiers: everyone knew it was scummy to abuse this. Those who spam armour arenāt really different, as such they deserve nothing.
Players who abused got to keep soldiers, with normalized stats.
They whined nonetheless and it was hilarious.
