Put both teams on equal ground in all campaigns, and add reward multipliers for team size imbalance

The current system that the devs are implementing to “balance” campaigns that entails making one side capture faster and receive for tickets back is brutally broken. It always ensures that one side will end up getting significantly more players than the other side, and not in a way that is balanced. Players will always flock to the side that its easier to win on.

So instead of changing the game mechanics to favor one side or the other, when it doesn’t take into account the number of players or their skill level for each individual game, give both sides equal capture times and ticket gains.

In order to get more balanced player numbers in campaigns offer a different system. This system includes ALL of these points (not just some):

  • In games with uneven numbers of actual players, the players on the side with less players gets a bonus to all actions that give points, +25% score for each player less than the other team. If additional players join or leave as the game goes on, the bonus changes as well. This means players that continue to fight after others desert can still get an increase to their rewards equivalent to their input.

  • On the campaign selection screen, it will indicate which side is more populated and which side is struggling for numbers. This way, if players want a more “relaxed” experience, they can go to the side that is populated, but they won’t get any extra bonus to points. Whereas the players that are trying to get more reward for their input, can go to the underdog side and get the bonus mentioned above. (If console players have PC crossplay lobbies disabled, they are given the information according to that setting.)

  • If players win an underdog game they receive an extra point towards ranking.

Using this system would likely allow a more even distribution of players than the current system. It encourages players to continue playing even if they are at a disadvantage. It removes the ability to exploit game mechanics in regards to capture time and ticket gain. It gives players a better chance at a fair game.

  • This would also help balance out games for which players are just grinding their rank and/or logistics orders.

This is impossible. I only heard gaijin reduce player’s gain/match before not the opposite. It is impossible for them to add rules that increase player’s gain. This is called anton’s rule of business.

I think it is a good idea. I would like to see there be preferential treatment for disadvantaged teams.
It would not be GAIJIN’s intention to keep the teams that no one wants to play, because it would defeat the purpose of making those teams playable.
I would like to see an improvement.
