Preliminary patch notes for the “Tigers of Burma” update

Weapons and soldiers

  • Added new weapons:
    • Hyde M1944 (USA BR V, Research)
    • T24 (USA BR V, Premium)
    • Thompson 7.63 (USA BR II, Premium)
    • RPzB. 43 Ofenrohr (USA BR IV, Research)
    • Te-4 (Japan BR IV, Research)
    • MG 42 100 (Germany BR V, Research).
  • Added an additional soldier slot to most premium and event Assaulter, Engineer, Machine Gunner and Flametrooper squads, which can be filled with an Engineer or an AT Gunner.
  • Fixed the inaccuracies in the reload animations of the Thompson weapon family: Box magazine versions now take less time to reload, thanks to the slide stop. In case of drum magazines, there is no slide stop and the bolt must be cocked to release the magazine from the weapon.
  • Fixed a bug related to equipment presets: It now prioritizes the most upgraded weapon.
  • Adjusted the magnification of the ZF-4 scope on the Sniper Gewehr 43.
  • Fixed a bug where the radio operator in the Premium Engineer squad with Winchester G30R for the USA couldn’t call in air strikes and rocket artillery.
  • Adjusted the drum capacity of the PPD 34/38 to the historically accurate 73 rounds.
  • AI soldiers now run away to a safe distance from mined strategic objects.
  • Replaced the German gas masks with American M5 gas masks for soldiers using the RPzB.43 Ofenrohr in American squads.
  • Added several types of quilted pants to the customization options of the USSR.
  • Fixed the color mismatch between the quilted pants and jackets of the USSR.
  • Corrected the size of the ushankas for the USSR.
  • Reduced the magazine capacity of the M1911A1 Colt from 8 to 7 rounds.
  • Increased the rate of fire of the MP 18.
  • Removed the sprint speed penalty of the PP Shpitalniy 1940.
  • Added a third soldier slot for Rider squads that can be unlocked with squad upgrades.
  • Added an additional upgrade option to add a Medic to Rider squads.

Vehicles

  • Added new vehicles:
    • T26E1-1 (USA BR V, Research)
    • M26 T99 (USA BR V, Premium)
    • Type 95 “Kurogane” (Japan BR II, Research)
    • Chi-Ri II (Japan BR V, Research)
    • Ho-Ri Prototype (Japan BR V, Premium)

    • Tu-2S (USSR BR V, Rsearch)
  • Implemented separate bomb drop and rocket launch for aircraft.
  • Added ammunition boxes to all motorcycles.
  • Improved the handling and physics of motorcycles on various surfaces.
  • Reworked the armor-piercing rounds in the ammunition belts of multiple aircraft.
  • Fixed the position of decorators that were obstructing the view when using the observation devices of the Premium Pz.IV E.
  • Fixed a bug where parts of the tank wouldn’t render in the gunner’s sight of the Chi-Ha and Chi-Ha Short Gun.
  • Fixed a bug with the observation devices of the T-34 (1941) where the view from side slits did not correspond to the rotation of the turret.
  • Added a new mechanic for refilling ammunition from motorcycles.
  • Fixed the incorrect display of certain decorators in the vehicle customization window.

Locations and missions

  • Added a new location Burma.
  • Added new missions of the Burma Campaign: “Myansera (Invasion)”, “Myansera (Confrontation)”, “Myansera (Conquest)”.
  • Added suitable water effects for Burma.
  • Added additional fords to the Seelow Heights mission - AI soldiers will now actively use these crossings and prefer them over the exposed bridge.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed building fortifications and engineering structures on bushes in Berlin and Normandy.
  • Fixed a bug where bullets couldn’t pass through certain types of bushes in Normandy.
  • Changed the location of the starter camera in “River crossing West (Invasion)”.
  • Added an additional group of spawn points in the “Ver-sur-Mer (Conquest)” mission.

Other improvements

  • (Steam) Fixed an issue where the narrator would only speak English when the “Narrator’s native language” option was turned off and the game was set to a language other than English.
  • Added new nickname decorators to the shop.
  • Improved the visuals of blood and bullet marks on the soldiers’ uniforms.
