That’s not unreasonable. I still like my suggestion but at least this isn’t just shitting on the idea with no solution.
I forgot the enlisted community is made up of people with a complex understanding of aeordynamics and have read the flight manuals for planes built over 60 years ago. Or… Alternatively. It’s a game and ergonomics should be important to get people to continue playing.
Vehicles should take practice to use effectively.
Planes aren’t an immediate unlock either.
I’m not saying make them super easy to fly. I want them to feel smooth and have visibility. As a M/Kb player, which this thread is targeted to. I want to be able to feel like I’m flying a smooth model. Not easy by any means. But smooth.
Dude your entire thread can be summed up with “mad cuz bad” and the rest is just attempts to cope and getting mad at us when we tell you such won’t help.
If you want a third person point and click adventure, go play War Thunder.
It’s already very easy to fly the planes provided you’re undamaged right now and adding third person makes it even easier to slaughter people on the ground which is something you should have to work for. It also ruins immersion because you don’t actually have a drone following you around irl blah blah blah.
Most of the work planes need is polish to the flight and damage models. After that we can worry about loadout customization and such which would be p cool.
I find planes very useful now tbh. They are particularly useful in taking out tank or MG nest firing at spawn. And dealing with enemies that surround you in general.
Coming from someone who completely ignored the planes at the start of alpha. I was completely against it a while back.
Your entire thread can be summed up with “missing the point by several nautical miles.”
I’m waiting for your explanation on how the plane ergonomics are absolutely great for new players as is especially those on M/Kb.
It is smooth, and just like war thunder you can look around by holding C. There’s also perks to increase your FOV in flight
M/KB players get both mouse aim and keyboard controls. Learning to use them at the same time will help.
We also get the jankiest movement.
I didn’t make the thread, so nice “no u”
They’re absolutely 100% usable. I fly fine and dab on most people in the air. So does everyone else I play with.
It just takes practice. You’re not gonna be good at it the first time you do it, dude. That’s a little kid’s way of thinking if that’s the issue here.
That as well, I use wasd q and e for adjustments.
Go fast don’t go slow and the plane flies much better
Not really. Just use A/D to roll to your desired roll angle and W/S to force pull up/down. Mouse aim will do fine adjustments
A big problem with Enlisted at the moment. The farther you get in campaign, the easier it is to use the weapons you unlock. Example is MG-13, PPD drum, MP-40, mortars(with engineer ammo), the end game tanks etc,. I haven’t progressed much but everything so far points to killing newbies as campaign progresses to be made much more easier.
Planes is a done somewhat right in that regard. It’s high skill but high reward. And it should stay that way. It does need some refining but other than that, it’s pretty good. If it was up to me, I would have made the planes even more difficult to fly. Having spend thousands of hours on DCS and other flight simulators, flying in Enlisted feel so darn weird. But making flying harder means a buff in armament. Even more high skill but high reward.
Again. Focusing on player ergonomics here specifically M/Kb players. The movement is janky and The view feels unnatural.
I think implementing the WT flight models, if possible and a third person can be balanced easily. I think you can sacrifice a little immersion here to get more casual players to try out the vehicles before giving up on them.
Works for me and my friends. Again this is wholly learn to play.
Yes
No. Git gud.
I don’t give a flying shit about shitters. We don’t have to balance the game so bad players who can’t be bothered to actually learn how to play can feel good.
Coddling bad players who cry and complain on the forums is a good way to kill your game. Look at WW2OL.
This makes sense to me. For my preference I wouldn’t want the game to act like a flight sim. I do enjoy the attempts at realism but I’d rather they nerf the armament, rockets less reliable, bombs harder to guide in, reduced explosion size/power marginally would allow them to remain fun without being OP.
Though I do respect your background on that subject.
and you still have yet to offer anything of value to the conversation.
