Please make the planes fly like in War Thunder

Good lord, these planes fly like bricks with the current control scheme for M/KB. The throttle doesnt seem to have granular adjustment either. It jumps from 55 to 66 etc with one tick in the scroll wheel. Please make the flight controls more customizable. It seems like it is forcing you to get a Xbox controller just to fly.

They do need polish for planes, I agree. Better damage models and possibly better controls would be nice.

Yeah the planes need a bit more polish, but I think they’re very nice compared to WT.
No 3rd person especially

Right now, with the current flight it flies like a effin Brick. I do not know how people are so agile and accurate with those things unless they are using a controller

It’s called going full throttle and keeping your speed up.
It’s unironically that simple

This is arguably nice.
Everything else is absolutely borked about them:

  • Damage models are borked
  • Flight models are borked
  • Weapons (looking at you, bf110) are borked

While it’s not super bad, it’s much, much worse than war thunder’s flight models.

I go full throttle but it doesnt seem to make a difference. Ideally, when lining up for a strafing run, you should slow down, extend your flaps or air brakes until you line up your shot and fire. Then, go full throttle after retracting the flaps and haul ass. At least that is how I do it in damn near every flight game ever including War Thunder.

Or you just yeet your rockets in the general direction of the enemy because Bf110 does not require aim.

just need a bit more polish, also what plane you use? the IL-2 should fly like brick and the BF-110 need to be a bit more like brick, it carry 4 rockets and 37mm gun plus two or more 20mms…

I would like to figure out why they’re so much more sensitive to latency than in War Thunder, but when they aren’t rubber banding they’re not bad.

I’ve found you stay more stable at high speeds in Enlisted, but I’ll at times go low-speed with the flaps down if I’m in a dogfight, situation-dependent of course.

If u have to do that in Enlisted then that does tell me that to flight model is complete rubbish - because no combat pilot did that, ever, in hte entire history of air-ground combat since 1753! (OK - I might exaggerate a bit… )

Combat passes were made at high speed and WITHOUT much accuracy! Rockets were very bad at actually hitting anything, bombs were even worse - except for nice easy targets like long lines of transport or large stationary things like cities!

The tank busters obviously needed more pinpoint accuracy - but hten they were all slow and clumsy and easy meat for any actual opposition.

So it comes down to - is it actually easy enough to fly in Enlisted?/

And I think it is - you do have to learn, and it is a steep curve, and I haven’t flown WT Sim mode at all - this is a bit harder than WT “Realistic” because of hte lack of 3rd person - but it rewards practice, and IMO it’s just fine.

Controversial opinion on this but I’d like to see planes get the changes you suggested plus a third person mode. I know it sacrifices historical accuracy but I’d like to be able to see when the maps aren’t larger than a couple km across. Take Normandy Invasion where planes have a few attack directions that don’t result in crashes.

Git gud
You don’t need 3rd person at all if you aren’t careless, my man

lol what 3rd person mode would break the game and isnot realistic, its not that hard to use planes in first person.

There is no attack direction that requires you to crash - L2P issue sorry

If you are talking about adding 3th person view I disagree

Do away with planes, not worth the time or trouble. Whether flying a brick or not is a absolute bore in this game compared to fighting as Infantry or even in tanks. Planes are stupid:rofl:

Planes are a core part of combined arms. They provide valuable fire support if used right. Just because you are bored with them doesn’t mean others will be too.

Yeah that’s not a bad option - at hte sort of level the game is set they really are a distraction and not a necessary feature at all.
