I suggest you take a look at some of my other posts. Also look up the definition of sarcasm, the guy that was directed at laughed his ass off which was the whole point.
You’re right. We need soviet paratroopers with AS-44s that have a 200 magazine capacity and under barrel grenade launchers. Ideally of the automatic sort. These guys will look positively underpowered by comparison and you fine people can enjoy justifying yet another improvement to the game.
Do you guys know whats really fun? When those guys drop paras on the point, the crate lands first. Chuck a phosphorus/molotov grenade on it and watch them land on it.
Your team is 30 minutes into the game, and are defending the 4th objective
By the time the enemy captures the 4th point, your team has drained the enemy down to 100 tickets.
The 5th objective appears on the map, and you fall-back to defend the last point.
the moment you step inside the building of the 5th objective, you take a bullet to the head.
What the fuck?
You switch to your remaining soldier, and look up at the cieling.
You see that the building had roof-windows, and there’s a paratrooper staring down at you.
You take another bullet to the head. You don’t even have time to react.
Now your squad’s dead.
Paratroopers also killed all your teammates that spawned inside the 5th objective.
You and your teammates are now sprinting 200 yards, because there hasn’t even been enough time for anybody to build a new rally point.
You just played a 30 minute game, and lost the final objective in 60 seconds.
What could you have done different, to counter the paratroopers who landed on the roof?
You had two soldiers, and both of them got shot in the head.
What’s your next move, now that you have to wait for the respawn timer, to count down?
Oh wait… it’s doesn’t fucking matter what you do, because the game is already lost.
You and the whole team, are all SPRINTING towards the objective, because ALL OF YOU got entirely fucked over by a player who paid $60, to exploit the game and secure a victory.
You sound like someone who purchased the product, and are bad-mouthing anybody who disagrees with the implementation of paratroopers. Even though they make ZERO sense in this game.
They are NOT soldiers from Special Ops. Precision para-drops with single c-47’s in the middle of a raging battle, is some Jame Bond bullshit. Are we gonna get Rambo as our next Gold-Order soldier?
Bro, you can have your paratroopers. Give me a Little Bird with gattling guns, and we can call it even.
Ahhhh yes. Classic. Why don’t you just be a sheep, and buy what they’re selling, bro? Who cares if it doesn’t make any sense, and entirely exploits the game. Who cares if all the new players are getting aboslutely WRECKED by the veterans who dropped $60, just to gain an ability to spawn wherever the fuck they want, with 100rd drum mags.
Paras maybe need to not be able to cap from roofs agreed, but shooting you on cap, great move. As for special para drops, on Pacific 30-40 troops drop, which is impressive considering scale of enlisted.
Either adapt or whine to someone else sorry, every new addition is a problem for some unbelievable!
You guys want ultra-nonrealistic units within this game, then by all fucking means… play your heart out, and have fun slaughtering noobs and A.I. Bots.
Paratroopers eliminate strategy from the game, and give pay-to-win players that ability to steamroll entire teams (simply by spawning behind the enemy, and destroying their rally points.)
Great fucking job
Pro move.
No effort required.
Just pick a spot on the map, and start shooting the enemy in the back.
"oh but I lost a guy while were deploying, so IT"S TOTALLY BALANCED
Sure dude.
How about the next move that developers make, they allow players to start building rally points inside the objective.
I mean why not? Pay-to-win players, can do it. So why not everybody else who hasn’t spent the $60?
No, I’ll probably just stop playing the game and move on to something else.
People bitch that this game has a low-player base, which is why the matches are always out-of-balance…
So let’s create more problems and exploits, to further seal-the-deal.
Who cares about making this game fun for new players, when you can sell premium squads to the veterans?
Who gives a fuck, when we can make money on the sheep who will buy anything that looks visually appealing?
“Oh, paratroopers were used in WW2. So now we can implement them in the game as elite soldiers, who drop from a single c-47 (in the middle of a raging battle). This game isn’t historically accurate, so if you have a problem, go play Hell Let Loose.”
This is dumb, you’re right. Nothing in this game is worth $60, and the fact that the main feature of the update is locked behind a paywall (for now) is a big letdown. But they will be added to the tech tree later.
This means nothing. You cannot use mag capacity alone to measure a weapons. Case in point, the Thompson 100 has pretty bad recoil, slow reload, and terrible sights. And being an SMG, it sucks at range. Not only that, it’s not like the Germans don’t have anything to counter it. You’re already tearing people to shreds by spamming StGs and FGs. And then Krieghoff rifle has no recoil and hits like a truck.
Yes… an unbelievable 12% more. And any soldier get this perk. Although I will agree that vitality should just be removed. I doubt that’ll happen though.
It’s less than 20 seconds, which is the only real problem with paratroopers. They should take longer to spawn. However, any soldier of any class can do this with a well-placed rally point. In fact, rally points are far more influential in winning games than paratroopers ever will be.
So I think this is a just a repeat of the AS-44 debate. Axis players are mad that a new premium squad is giving new players a competitive advantage and they’re no longer able to stomp on them. And that’s not a real problem.
I see paratroopers being used as they are supposed to be used in the game. Yes, historically they were not that accurate in their landings, but this is a game that has been proven to not be historically accurate.
Thank you. This is just some dude who is mad that he lost one game and is completely ignoring the bigger picture. He lost that round because it appears neither himself nor his team had the situational awareness to notice a parachute drop directly on top of him. Enlisted’s maps are quite small, a drop is just impossible not to notice. There’s no other examples of this apparently, it’s just one loss that’s a problem. If losing one game is that big of a deal, just please stop playing.
I will admit, if I lost a game in this manner, I would be annoyed in the moment. But then I would look at the bigger picture and realize that I should have noticed the squad on top of me before they even landed.
It makes no difference which team a player is on… the argument is the same.
Just because somebody pays $60, now they can spawn ontop of roofs (directly above the objective).
Even before the defending team has had a chance to re-group and prepare for the attackers to start pushing?
Paratroops bypass EVERYTHING on the battlefield, and remove the elements called “strategy and skill”.
How does it take skill to click a point on the map, and dropping from the sky (behind enemy lines)?
There’s only 10 people on the other team, where 1-2 players are in a tank, 1-2 players are in an aircraft, and only a handful of players are infantry. Of which, most are focused on pushing the objective (and not watching their back).
Paratroopers might make sense, if the matches were 40 human players vs 40 human players on a larger map.
Which would allow the flexibility for a percentage of players to focus on AA and Anti-paratrooper support.
But when you only have 6 infantry squads, who are focused on the objective… There’s not much time to linger and wait/watch for paratroopers (when they literally spawn at any time in the game. There’s no way to prepare for a c-47, when you don’t even know when the next one will show up.
How many people on the forum have bitched about players who camp, and do not push the objective?
But by your logic, players should be camping and watching the sky, and shooting down paratroopers as they arrive.
Ever had a battle in Pacific, and average time of game is 9mins?
always thought, i wonder if they can improve on 9 min wipe, guess once more paras come in to play, we will see games less than 9 mins.
Are you creating situations in your head that are based off fantasies?
That wasn’t the situation in this match. The attackers 100% won this game that they would have otherwise lost, entirely because a paratrooper squad exploited their ability to spawn/land directly ontop of the objective (the moment the previous objective was captured).
The attackers were ONTOP of the objective, before 95% of the defenders had even made it to the building to start defending.
They were on the roof, safely concealed and capturing the point before the majority of the defenders had even ran the distance from base-spawn.
You’re saying “oh you should have KNOWN they were there. You should have shot them! It’s 100% skill issues!”
“Oh, who cares if the match was neck-and-neck durin the first four objectives. Who cares that they capped the final objective in 60 seconds, due to the paratrooper exploit. It’s 100% skill issues by the ENTIRE defending team. Play with cheats next time, noobs.”
That’s what I’m hearing, when I read your excuses that validate the paratroopers existence.
Special Ops Paratroopers:
-A single C-47 does a precision air-drop, of both an elite squad and a crate full of supplies.
in the middle of an active battlefield.
ONTOP of a roof.
or in the back corner of a map (when there’s only a maxium of 10 enemy players on the battlefield. Many times, it’s only like 5-8 human players)
The only thing that could make them better, would be red-dot sights, and supressors.
Usually when japanese is defending i can go in the bathroom and when i come back the battle is ended, paratroopers or no paratroopers pacific allies is a joke on how lose fast and is not even because of desertion, of lack of player, american player refuse to do something else than spam m13
I’m not buying that. You’ve only brought up the Thompson squad. But the Krieghoff rifle? Just fine. Someone on your team does this to the enemy? Swell, no complaints here.
You have 100% never touched paratroopers, because you apparently have no idea how they work. Which makes sense since you’ve spent this entire post complaining about one battle that you lost.
Once you land, you actually have to pay attention and survive. The majority of players are competent enough to spot a drop and counter it, especially if you drop close to the zone. And once again, a single stealthy engineer can do this exact same thing and set up a rally.
Dear god, you are really ruining your case. If you’re not watching your back, no wonder you are losing. Enlisted (like many FPS games) is all about situational awareness. It is absolutely critical that you pay attention and watch for tanks, snipers, bombers, grenades, large groups of infantry, paratroopers, etc, while pushing the objective. If you cannot do that, Enlisted is not the game for you.
A different one than you apparently. Because I’m not complaining about one objective lost in one match. What about the other four? Oh… right.
At the end of the day, NONE OF THIS MATTERS. Paratroopers are balanced and have been generally well received compared to other mechanics that were introduced last year. They are here to stay. So if that is going to be a big deal, then I would stop wasting your time and play something else.
Don’t worry though, according to you next update the Americans are gonna get A10s, M4 carbines, M1 tanks, all that good stuff. Better watch out…
Maybe because I don’t have any idea what type of gun they get? I haven’t looked it up. But the argument is the EXACT same. Why? Because I’m also max leveled with the allied team in Normandy. All I gotta do is switch teams, and the issue is EXACTLY the same. But since I enjoy playing as the axis, this is where I have originally encountered the problem.
I’ve also noticed that my rally points are CONSTANTLY being destroyed by paratroopers, and forcing my team to CONSTANTLY spawn from the base.
Which is bullshit. Because I only see a pay-to-win player, who is bypassing a large component of the game (which is the strategy required push THROUGH the enemy lines, and hunting down rally points.
Now, all you gotta do is pay $60, and you can spawn on the same side of the map, as the enemy. The best part for the pay-to-win players, are that matches are rarely 10 vs 10 human players! So whenever you drop behind enemy lines, the odds of being detected by the handful of human players in the match, is very slim!
Well… unless you deploy directly infront of the enemy, then obviously you’re taking a gamble at losing some troops. But if you take a conservative approach, and deploy on the skirts of enemy lines, you’re able to land undetected. And if somebody does see you… you probably landed in the trees and your visibility is obstructed.
Which is super fucking realistic, because we all know that best place to land in a parachute, is through the canopy of trees and their branches. Who cares about the risk of getting impaled, scratched up, or hung up by the cords of the chute.
BUT NOT THIS GAME! If you want realism, go play Hell Let Loose!
Wahoo!!!
Sorry. Not going to waste $60 for the privilege of spawning from the sky.
I have unlocked the japanese paratroopers for Pacific (from the event that’s currently going), and I haven’t used them. I still haven’t played a single match in the Pacific Campaign.
Yeah, but a stealthy engineer had to WORK FOR IT. A paratrooper squad, gets to bypass all the hard work for $60! What a deal!
Stay focused on the topic at hand. The issue of this post, are paratroopers exploiting the roof, and capturing the point before the defenders even have time to regroup and start defending.
We are NOT talking about “how to survive in this game”.
Don’t worry dude. You can have fun playing against the A.I., when all of the NON pay-to-win players, start “playing something else”.
You can have fun playing unbalanced matches, and slaughtering the “poor people” who don’t have the paratrooper squad.
You can have fun exploiting the game, and justifying all your victories as “skill issues” for the opposing team.
HAVE FUN DUDE.
I probably won’t be here to find out. There’s a lot of great titles coming to market place soon, and Enlisted is going to become obsolete.
I hope you didn’t spend too much money here. Because all things eventually come to an end.
This game is just a few mistakes away from flopping, and all the players who spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on premium content, are going to be thoroughly disappointed.
yeah, no player should be able to capture from an “unreachable” position, that is indeed broken, however… I would argue that this is not specifically a “paratroopers” problem, but a map design problem, people used to be able to glitch themselves into weird positions and capture position prior to paratroopers.
