Exactly. But more importantly, they’re fun. It just feels very cool and cinematic to jump out of a plane as gunfire and explosions sound off below you. And they’re good too, but not exceedingly slow. I’d say 8/10 times at least one guy gets picked off upon landing, usually more.
I could care less if it isn’t 100% realistic. It’s a fast paced video game. I have HLL if I wanted to play something more realistic and immersive.
But 10 Gliders and a solo C-47, are two different things.
Especially when the solo C-47 is flying into the middle of an active battlefield (in broad daylight), to do a precision airdrop with an elite squad of soldiers. Totally checks out.
Especially when they are landing on the roofs like a bunch of spec-ops units. What’s next? Red-Dot sights and thermal vision prototype units?
It’s only a casual game, until people start complaining about what their teammates are doing.
“oh my god, my teammates never help build rally points!” “oh my god, my teammates never push the objective!” “oh my god, my teammates are always grey-zone camping!” “oh my god, my teammates never know how to fly airplanes!” “oh my god, console players are useless!” “oh my god, I feel like I’m the only one doing anything!”
Have you heard any of these before, from the people who regulaly visit and post on the forum?
If it was only a casual game, why are people so easily triggered by how other people are playing the game?
Whenever someone posts a legitimate suggestion/complaint… how many times have you heard someone say “skill issue”?
I’m not arguing for one or the other…
I’m simply saying which is it… because I have observed people who are playing both sides of the fence. (Depending on what the topic and discussion is).
People agree that this game needs a stronger playerbase, right?
Do you think giving paratroopers to veteran players, was a good idea?
New players who try this game, and get completely stomped (match after match), are going to turn around and uninstall quicker than ever.
How can they compete? Especially when they discover that they gotta spend hundreds of dollars for squad slots, premium xp pass, battlepass, and $60 per premium unit…
Once they realize how expensive the game is, while simultaneously getting their asses handed to them by the veteran players (who are fully decked out with high-tier gear and premium squads)… they are going to leave and go play something else.
I’m thinking about the integrity of the game, and the experience the new players and veteran players are all sharing together.
Do you personally enjoy stomping new players, as you mow them down with your 100 round drum mag? Does it make you feel good about yourself?
Or would you like an actual challenge?
What’s fun about getting a score of 166-0, when the entire match is composed of a.i. bots and new players?
You can give not one argument, being rude al the time and say we have to spend a lot of money. What is wrong with you? are you 14 and in the middle of puberty?
Paras are fun, they are balanced, it is amazing to look up at beginning of match and see 20/30 troops air dropping, now imagine if enlisted was scaled up, it is doing its best to represent para drops, but it will only rely on all players selecting Paras at same time by design.
As for balance, I think OP needs to stop crying for nerfs, get practice with axis pacific if he / she can’t afford the premium, they will see how vulnerable you are to AA, mgs, Mobile AA etc
I think their addition has really changed flow and some people now need to adapt and respond appropriately to flanking drops (or not).
Isn’t it also super convenient and a complete coincidence that a $60 squad has
a) the largest mag capacity than any free smg squad
b) has more hp than any other regular soldier they face
c) can appear out of thin anywhere in 20 seconds
Paratroopers could do with a bit more variance, but I imagine people would be pretty frustrated if they routinely ended up with 3 paratroopers at the landing site with no supply drop.
Imagine playing in an area which is size of a footbal field and complaining about paras.
Regula ppsh spammers in moscow are way more
g ame breaking than paras.
Just yesterday i was playing Normandy beach as the Axis, Last capture point, we gave ground all the way to the last point where we put a stiff defense up, I parked my Panzer IV short barrel up on the ridge over watching avenues of approach, and for targets of opportunity, i knocked out two assaulting shermans and more enemy infantry, but was discovered and my commander was killed by a sniper, i followed up by returning fire with HE on his squad. the enemy wisely set up spawn points flanking the obj but were seen silhouetting the ridgline when they spawned and were soon dealt with. As i turned back toward the building i noticed to my surprise, paratroopers falling from the sky right on top of the obj! I hurridly shot my AP shell into a landing para and loaded HE, as soon as it chambered i fired just forward of the building where they landed, killing 3, I figured the rest would flee into the capture building for cover so i followed up with a second shot right into the window killing the rest. Infantry defended against the hill spawners till the counter hit zero. We almost lost, and that game was one of the best i played in a while, in any game.
On paratroopers, i like them the way they are, i dont own them yet but they arent OP, Ive noticed them literally get wiped more than id like to say. Its cool seeing friend/foe falling from the sky like that.
