Paratroopers exploit the game

I’ll check out some gameplay on youtube and see if it’s something I’d like.

TitanFall 2 was an amazing game, up until the devlopers abandoned it and let their matchmaker get all fucked up. Now there’s no playerbase and the game is only good for it’s single-player campaign.

The fast pace, and high competition was exhilarating. Matches always kept me on the edge of my seat.

If you enjoy being a pilot, may I suggest Warthunder (didnt catch on if you had played or not). There Is a massively high skill ceiling in that for pilots.

Never gets old reverse sixing an enemy player using real world maneuvers., or going in vs 3-5 enemy planes and winning

and they have choppers…

Thank you. This is exactly the point.

Imagine picking a fight on a tiny speck of an outpost with some random player from another faction. Now imagine how that skirmish flashed as a conflict on this massive continent, and people from both yours and his side start flooding in battle tanks, VTOL carriers, APCs. Imagine that turning into a massive slugfest that has several hundred real players on either side. And then imagine a third faction deciding to cut in and making it a threeway clusterfuck where ordinance and bodies are flying all over the place.

That’s generally a routine occurrence.

Perhaps, but you’ll get old until you grind enough to get, and spade jets and choppers. Also chopper battles were crap last time I checked, take a soviet one or take a hike basically.

chopper battles are still crap. but you can be pretty annoying in ground RB, thus fun (it was pretty funny every time you bushwacked a ka-50 with gattling guns, after sweating the whole 10 km approach to get within gun range lol)

it can take a long time to grind without premium sure, but the journey is more fun than the end game. right from the word go, bi plane combat is fun

I can do that with my BT-5 and no repair cost thank you very much.

Because… they didn’t win based solely on this squad. This is just one of many strategies to clear an objective. Sure it’s kinda toxic, but no more so than covering the point in WP smoke and Molotovs and then gunning down anyone who tries to escape. In effect, it’s the exact same thing.

Also, it’s kinda hard not to notice a bunch of dudes dropping from the sky, even from an open roof.

You’re right, dropping in broad daylight in a war zone with heavy assault weaponry is not realistic. As I said before, Enlisted is not a military simulator and as such will not be 100% realistic. Never has been, never will be. Play Hell Let Loose if you want realism.

Also, does one loss in one battle therefore reflect the use of paratroopers as a whole? Not at all. Paratroopers are not a guaranteed way to win. And the premium bundle is not pay to win because none of the weapons or tactics are impossible to counter.

Yeah, I’d rather want some more content over perfect historical accuracy (which hey, had to ESPECIALLY get thrown out the window with Pacific for balancing reasons)

And even then the devs still stick within a few years at most if straying out of when x saw use (outside of the Japanese)

I would try WT, but I’m not interested in another one of DF’s F2P games, with paywalls behind every corner. If I haven’t spent a dollar on premium units in this game, I certainly am not going to be lured into another variation of the except same concept (minus the infantry).

Doesn’t DF also make WT? Or are they two separate companies? I’ve never played the game, and have only watched YouTube videos from others who are good at it.

It looks fun… but the paywalls are 100% not my thing.

Gaijin is the “publisher” of both. Dark flow isn’t part of war thunders development (i think). That said, same premium model.

however getting to 5.7 is easy…and I find that the funnest part of the game anyway…

if you want modern day fighters and stuff, its a grind.

Only thing WT has going for it, is that your not fighting the top tier, there’s a BR rating, MM same though.

Except you need to get into range to actually throw said ordinance, and it’s available without dishing out a fair bit of cash. Standalone AAA game title price in fact. So, in effect, it’s not remotely the same thing. Rather than making it a means to support the devs, something I applaud and would likely apt in as well they did the classic “f2p” cash grab.

Make no mistake, it’s a cash grab. And I would give my right arm before believing that 99.99% of the people who got it, got it for muh devs. They got it because it’s the latest and largest sealclubber.

Run while you can. You’ve been warned.

Yeah, me too. And there’s a million different things they could have given us.

But we get mechwarriors and elite paratroopers that can spawn anywhere they want. Doesn’t matter the terrain or obstacles. (Just land on top of it, man. You’ll have a better vantage point to attack from above).

This implementation significantly reduces strategy, and shortens matches even more than they already are. Because players are able to override defenses and flanks, and go straight for tanks, rally points, and literally land directly on top of the objective.

You think new players, who don’t even know how to kill a grey-zone tank, are going benefit from elite paratroopers on the battlefield?

Who benefits from this? The answer, only the people who pay money for the privilege.
I most certainly have not benefited from this addition to the game…
From my perspective, they ruined Normandy with paratroopers introduction.

“Oh there were paratroopers in the war. So let’s add them to the game, even though implementation makes ZERO SENSE in the context to how they were historically utilized.”

Why not just make a WW2 theme that is entirely based from imaginationland? We can add space lazer guns, helicopters, flying ships, aliens, and zombies. What’s it matter anymore?
Where is the line drawn?

I still haven’t played the Pacific Campaign, so I wouldn’t know what they are like there.

I got it cos Fallshirmjagers. Heroes and Generals nostalgia was too strong.

War Thunder is developed and published by Gaijin, Enlisted is developed by Darkflow, and published by Gaijin.

  • You’re perfectly fine as a F2P up until you start getting closer to rank 5+, where things start getting VERY VERY grindy

I think you forgot the fact that it was an April Fool’s event

Literally every soldier can lmao

And by doing so, they can get quickly slaughtered by any competent and aware enemy, which is why they’re strong, the majority of people here have neither of the aforementioned qualities.

I play Normandy a bit too much in comparison to anywhere else, and I feel like it makes it more fun and interesting

Word. Thanks for clarification.

If you are giving it a go.

Play arcade planes first. Its action packed, chaotic and fun. Then after a few games, Realistic is where its at (big boy pants).

Interestingly enough, Id play Ground Realistic with planes in my line up. The air combat is much more satisfying there as there is no HUD. Only catch is you need to get enough points to get into a plane. One cap or kill should do it.

but if your only interest is jets and stuff…stay away. way too grindy

No. The context being that there were many things they could have spent the money and time to develop/fix within the game (and it’s core issues).

Instead… they used the money, and the time, to develop mechwarriors for an event that only ran for a few days.
And we got more premium content, which required time and energy to implement into the game.

Rather than fix the REAL PROBLEMS, we get bells and whistles.
That’s what I’m griping about, in the context of receiving Mechwarriors for April Fools.

I would have rather gotten new maps for all the campaigns, that we could still be playing, or having fire/phosphorous fixed… so it doesn’t magically travel through walls and immediately ignite your soldier on fire.

But hey…

That’s just my opinion.
