Pacific plane spawns

One quite irritating balance issue I’ve been coming across is the planes in Pacific. Now obviously Japan doesn’t really have equivalent vehicles yet anyway - but not only that, Japan has to spawn from a standing start on an aircraft carrier while the allies spawn their P38s already hurtling towards the objective.

Can we just ditch the aircraft carriers for both sides? Its just frustrating and doesn’t add any enjoyment to the game in my opinion.

the most irritating thing is taking off from the ground level and then fly another 3000m, I mean taking off from the ground level takes quite long time right?

i really like the idea of taking off but can devs make it so that if plane is taking off from ground level they should make it spawn much closer to even out the time in which you reach the objective.

The last fighter in Japan’s research tree is OP and starts in the air. It can shred airplanes and destroy tanks (including Jumbo).

What if we put planes like P-38s farther from the point in spawns? You know, since they are coming from an airfield, probably over a couple hundred miles away.

That would even things up, of course - but I still find the whole aircraft carrier/sea plane mechainc quite tedious personally.

I haven’t actually got to the end of the tree for Japan yet - I’ll have to have a look at that! Only playing BR2 for Japan at the moment.

The reason why is because they are too close to the island. Enemy planes should not be able to fly over to enemy ships as quickly as they do in the game, so the ships should be moved out farther so that altitude can be gained. This will also limit CAS spam by making the distance longer.

But they made it this way because they made a small map that looks nothing close to resembling Guadalcanal. They put in the least amount of work for anything that involves the Americans in this game due to their hatred of America (Russo-Ukraine conflict is my guess).

I"m not sure they would damage a revenue stream for such petty reasons.

But I agree with you in that the distances need to be greater for the CAS run. Particularly taking into account the BR rating and therefore the performance characteristics of the aircraft available to each side.

No…

I like the mechanics of it.

But it’s indeed unfair. A solution would be to bump p38 up some tiers. Allies HAVE many carriers based aircrafts from the Pacific campaign. They are fun too… Just completely obsolete due to tier1 p38.

Not op at all. It sits well at tier IV, along other planes like 109s, Yaks… And dreaded Spitfires (who are somehow tier 2, while being the best dogfighters in game. Maybe because no bombs)

A simple solution to it, would be to add a timer before p38 or p51 can be used… like in all other campaigns.

The timer isn’t present in Pacific simply because all planes used to be carrier based.

Perhaps OP is not the correct description. It’s really good and does very well at BR4 against aircraft and tanks.

Bruh all you need is 2 wings and a bomb

I didn’t even know the Americans started in the sky but I don’t care. It just makes it all the more worth it when I get kills for the Emperor

Really?

Tell me, where is Henderson Field? Where is Edson’s Ridge? Why is there a beach invasion at the Tenaru map when the Japs were already inland? Where are the Coconut groves at Tenaru? Why is there a bridge at Tenaru when there never was one? Why are the trenches on the wrong side of the Tenaru River? Why are there a bunch of village huts at Tenaru when it was all trenches, foxholes, and Coconut trees galore?

Why is Hurtgen “Forest” not an actual forest but instead a ripoff of Mamayev Hill?

Do any of these pictures look closely related to the Hurtgen “forest”?

Here are more pictures of the actual battle from Hurtgen Forest:

Why have the American gun sights been left untouched even though the community has been bringing it up for months now? Why did they release gun sights like this yet seemingly release German, Japanese, and Russian guns with better gun sights? Here is a visual example for you:

Is Darkflow just really bad with just American Guns? People have brought it up thousands of times, so why haven’t they fixed any of the sights? Convince me it is not intentional?

Are they just putting the least amount of effort into American battlefields by accident? Stalingrad at least has its famous buildings, and Berlin at least has its famous buildings, so why can’t the Americans have theirs? Is it just some coincidence that the American battlefields are not getting any attention to detail? If anything, it should be easier since the American maps aren’t a huge city like Stalingrad or Berlin. All it’s going to be is trees, outposts, trenches, and a few bunkers. Is that so hard to get right? Convince me that this is just a big misunderstanding.

I just started playing the Japanese and that first plane is already frustrating enough. Need like 5 hours to figure out how to get in the air without burning the engine…only to get shot down by the allied fighter before reaching the combat zone to drop the bombs.

We need to cancel plane spawns on aircraft carriers

Taking off from 0 speed on an aircraft carrier and flying 3km to reach the battlefield does not provide any actual support to your teammates. Every second is precious on the battlefield, and taking off from an AC is a waste of time.

And some of them are even higher tiered than the P-38 for no reason.

Perhaps it could be useful to add a timer for USA players that have aircraft that don’t spawn from the carrier … Like they do in other campaigns. I think it takes about a minute to spawn a plane once round starts.

The maps were probably made by Z gen, they reject everything to do with history or facts. The only thing that matters is that there is a game, we have some pew pews and the locations are roughly representative of some patriarchally created locations

P.S. I think you’re taking this game far more seriously that its devolved to be.

I think the original team of cool and history minded dudes are now somewhere in the SMO, so you get this instead - the D team…

Yet here I am, encouraging history and facts. Here, I am showing how easy it is to look up a YouTube video on battles and pictures of the battlefields. You have not convinced me this is not intentional, incompetence, or downright anti-American.

Except for American battlefields, right?

Aren’t they serious about being Enlisted? Don’t they play it?

What is SMO?
