I"m not here to convince you of anything change your mind or anything else that you seem to refer to youtube.
All I’m commenting on is that you need to accept the game for what it is, and as is your prerogative whilst a participant in the game to throw your suggestions at the devs and hope that something sticks.
The devs are aware of the issues, but they have limited resources, so its a matter of suck it up and wait, they also know that many other titles are coming out which will scalp their playerbase if they don’t address enough of the issues that are brought up by the community. Either way time will tell, they are running a business, and if ppl keep paying then all will be well, the moment they vote with their feet then Enlisted will be relegated to the list of all the other titles who tried but failed.
They have such limited resources that they can create 3-4 story buildings in Stalingrad but not put a bunch of evergreen trees close together and then call it Hurtgen forest.
They are so limited in resources that they can’t dig a couple of foxholes on the left side of the river, along with a couple of sandbags stacked up for mgs. Not to mention that River was knee-deep.
They are so limited in resources that they can make an entire airfield at Gavutu yet not be able to put a dirt runway a couple of points back from Tenaru River.
They are so limited in resources that they can’t slap a bunch of bushes, greenery, and a coconut grove and call it a night.
The Vickers Mk.1 No 2 had its sights fixed before the release of the British paratroopers, so why didn’t they do the same for the M1A1 Carbine? Surely they had a few resources to spare to go back and fix those sights, right?
And let’s be clear about something: there wouldn’t be any issues with the maps if they did it right the first time. They have no excuses as to why they went off on their imagination with this since it would’ve been easier to slap a bunch of trees, foxholes, and bushes down and call it a day. But instead, that was too hard, so they decided to make a bunch of houses, a Church, and an entire town that supposedly had something to do with the battle of Tenaru River.
I think the phenomenon you’re arguing against is called “good enough for government work” and yes the Gaijin/DF team are probably subscribers to that school of thought
Could not disagree with this more: The carrier takeoffs was one of the best things introduced in the Pacific. It basically removed suicide bombing as a worthwhile tactic since it takes longer to get into the air. It also gives you a place to repair and the AAA on the carriers protects from spawn campers.
The real problem is planes starting high and fast and basically right above the capture point. You shouldn’t be able to spawn into an airplane and suicide bomb yourself into the point all in ten seconds or less.
They need to add airfields to all maps so that all planes need to take off from land or sea. Failing that they should start planes further away from the point, slower and lower. It should take the same amount of time and effort to get to the point as it does from a carrier.
