It’s great that with this announcement I see the dev team once again trying to utilise the wisdom of the playerbase.
So where did the group of people go that previously thought the dev team knew everything and didn’t need players to talk much?
I share some of Erica’s concerns about the new beta service, as all the other previous recruitments had additional restrictions as well. If there is a limit on the number of people in the new beta service, on the forums and in the eyes of others: me being the “rant-only person”, I most likely won’t qualify for this.
But I hope that if the new beta will limit the number of people for participation, it will allow competent players from different sources to participate, such as representatives of different types of authors in the editor, players specialising in different campaigns who have enough combat games or game time in their server stats, and players from different platforms (PSN, XBOX), different geographies (e.g. Asia, Oceania, South America, Africa, Middle East, Indian subcontinent), experienced players from different platforms (PSN, XBOX) , experienced players from different platforms (psn, xbox).
I’m happy with the early update of new mechanics, new weapons, and new maps that were originally planned to go live after 2.0.
Words like Pacific and Kursk have grand imagery.
I hope they are attractive enough to distract players.
And keep the enlistment appealing to new and old players.
Also hopefully there won’t be any magical new bugs popping up as well as resurrecting some old ones again.
that is very interesting to me oh and the gun that i was thinking was from a bf 110 that Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer use
It’s not a new beta.
They simply open up another server with new mechanics to test in. Many other games do this, it’s not limited in any way and everyone can try it.
The only thing is there’s a warning saying “this is the test server, it could be unstable, isn’t definitive… blahblahblah”
You don’t have to worry.
I’m actually in favour of limiting the number of testers to a certain extent to reduce the creation of endless bickering, or whoever has the loudest and most dominant team.
The bickering between the differences in the perceptions of different groups about the technology tree and the currency can go on until the day of judgement.
I would just ignore YouTubers to solve this issue.
No need to involve YouTube.
Vocal whiny mains have enough power to do damage on their own.
But at least they’re are not trying to gaslight others into boycotting the game.
This kind of test branch is mainly used to find out bugged stuff faster/better. You need many ppl for that.
Also…It’s good it’s not limited. You want the opinion of the majority, not a select few which might not reflect the whole players base preferences.
As for bickering, we have many forum mods, so it’s covered.
So the new solider training system. The one devs once said that give solider a “skill tree”. Will that come in the next update or it comes with the merger?
I think the minority you are talking about is a subjective choice, whereas I think the minority is an objectively elected representative of a diverse group(It’s filtered by machine data).
But I agree that there are also pros and cons to any approach
I think they mentioned it in last McBurger Q&A. They don’t plan to implement it any soon.
(Lack of manpower because of merge)
At last hopefully no more delays after you reveal all your secrets about this update.
Ok CTE now, finally something good, now a more detailed timetable please.
Biggest question:
Test servers progression will going to be wiped after the merge, right?
And really, the merge wont help the game at all. Its about how the gameplay is (plus the content). Not the grind that attract players.
Gameplay attracts
Grind scares away
Is necessary to have progression there? I think the priority will be to test certain BR levels and so on.
So I wouldn’t be surprised if everything was already unlocked there.
There may be 2 stages. One with grind and one with everything unlocked.
That would be smartest solution.
This is a big redflag for me, what is meant by “new currency” i hope this is not becoming like war thunder that you need to pay repairs and ammo for stuff
They already stated for several times they’re not planning any repair cost or something like this.
Hopefully they’ll keep their word.
