New currency

So 3k per bronze weapon and soldier, 25k per silver weapon

So you do 25k exp= 1 silver weapon, 8 bronze

Which equal

1sw = 500 coin
4 bw = 800 coin
4 bs = 400 coin
Total = 1700 coin

Before merge:

1 tier 1 weapon + 4 smoke grenades and still have 4 bronze soldier order

After Merge

1 tier 1 weapon and that’s it, hey you get 200 extra coin what you can do with that I wonder

And you don’t get free vehicles or new weapon per unlock, cool trade I guess, also 1 soldier now can cost 3 ~ 12 times more silver equivalent, cool trade I guess

stock weapons are more expensive, but stock+all upgrades is cheaper. only problem is that before you could get +1, +2 or +3 weapon making the old economy cheaper for getting fully upgraded weapon.

this is not such big problem considering that you get fully upgraded soldier which is infinitely more useful than shitty lvl 2 or lvl 3 soldier you would most probably get for that 1 silver order.

bigger problem for me is that it prevents me from buying them en masse for getting max stat soldiers.

You need to understand that you no longer can buy the thing same cost before merge

You have 3 silver before merge you can buy a tier 3 gun, after merge is a tier 1 gun

And as far as I know they didn’t state the increase of order equivalent of gaining per match, so you spend the same effort to gain 1 silver order, which you can’t do shite with it post merge

didn’t they already state previously that the stats would be streamlined to reduce that RNG … so all soldiers will be maxed … I could’ve sworn I saw that was the plan in another blog … I’ll see if I can find it.

Edit:
Yes and no … I think I’d like some more clarification on this in this regard then from the devs. They are planning to change the entire soldier upgrade system. They didnt really state anything regarding the stat RNG … though I though originally. But it could still occur based on what is said in the blog as the theme is streamlining and reducing RNG and complexity.

What the new player gonna do? So every time they need to buy a tier IV assaulter they need to spend 12 silver equivalent of effort to buy 1?

While before merge you can get 1 by just spending 1 silver?

You have any idea how hard is to get 12 silver soldier order or 24 silver weapon order in this game?

That’s insane man

Is still RNG with stat, not the level of soldier

You should care about getting the weapon first then upgrading it, doesn’t matter when you can’t get the weapon, and btw is 10 silver equivalent for a tier 3 weapon, and the tier system has 5 tiers…

And good luck telling new player that

also you can’t upgrade it anyway since you just spent all of that same currency just to buy it in the first place haha.

I would argue that a new player probably isnt buying a tier IV assaulter as they don’t have it unlocked.

i understand that. but you also need to understand that you would need to spend 69 bronze orders to fully upgrade that gun. that is 13800+1500=15300 silver. so even if in start gun is more expensive, as fully upgraded weapon it is “cheaper” at first look.

but like i said in post above it is not cheaper cause you could get +1, +2 or +3 weapons making old economy cheaper for weapons.

i dont see a problem with that. you dont understand that you are getting fully unlocked soldier. before you would get lvl 2 or lvl 3 soldier and then spend fortune to fully upgrade it. lvl 2 or lvl 3 soldier is useless without upgrades.

also you dont get much advantage with changing from assaulter 1 to assaulter 4 right now. with new perk system you could possibly get some small advantage with extra stat points. my only problem with new soldier cost is that it prohibits my rerolling for max stat soldiers.

you are mixing 5 tiers of tech tree progression with t3 weapon… t3 weapon will probably be in 4th and 5th tier of tech progress.

No, they can’t even buy 1 tier 1 soldier(3000 coin), 1 tier 1 weapon(1000 coin) without spending 4000 silver equivalent(4 silver soldier or 8 silver weapon) without spending ungodly amount of grind for those

Legit they struggle unlocking the engineers slot, and then struggle buying the tier 1 engineer and the the tier 1 rifle for it, or just the engineer eoth the stock rifle, and what about the medic kit? That also cost more money in post merge I imagine

That could fall under the same as those that only play one faction, and as such don’t get the benefit of not needing to buy as much when all the factions are consolidated overall. I mentioned that possibly offloading some of the upfront cost to the upgrade could benefit that side. How much of it would you say to offload to the upgrade to resolve such an issue? (I mean DF are kindof asking for feedback here).

Edit: alternatively, they could add an effective new player booster that increases the silver yield for the first X games to accommodate newer players not having a baseline amount.

they already did that…

they seem to be stating its too much still, so Im asking what their view is … so I can gauge more from where they are coming from.

Yeah I swear there is a comment where they said they would standardise the Stats on soliders. I found that post but it didnt clarify it. Havent gone through all the comments yet

If you a find a commend let me know, otherwise I just chalked it off as a Mandela effect type deal and would like DF to clarify on it if not already done.

well i find that weapons should be cheaper. t3 weapons should be at least 1k silver cheaper cause of current RNG in which you can even get fully upgraded weapon.

for soldier order my only concern is getting max stat soldiers. it is too expensive to recruit/dismiss if you get non fully maxed out soldier. i dont have problem with cost of soldier.

you probably saw comment about unlocking level for all soldiers and spending all stats on perks. IIRC there was no mentioning of standardizing stats of soldiers before.

question, as I asked earlier, but I’m not sure if you saw. Regarding the RNG of getting different upgrade levels of a weapon, how does the soldier orders not accommodate the loss of that RNG progress? I know I have 100s of soldier orders just not being used as I just don’t have a need, this is wasted and wouldn’t be in the new system.

As for the soldier stats when min maxing. If they were to standardize the stats, would that satisfy that concern? If so, I would actually like to see them standardize the stats regardless. Less RNG is win in my book when it comes to game economies.
