I think paratroopers should have a larger battle area (be able to go into the greyzone to an extent). This would be a good counter to greyzone camping tanks.

For those who think that the parachute troops will only be for premium, the announcement of the update itself ensures that not only. Iâm sure theyâll be just as available as a motorcycle squad in the Tunisia campaign.
As for utility, anti-aircraft guns will grind mushrooms in a blue sky.
I take issue with them being able to be equipped with any gun tbh

the balance is that the equipment crate can land on the enemyâs side and from what I understand from the update description itâs one item per soldier. So one will take the PIAT grenade launcher, the other the M1919, and the third the hammer. So a bit of realism because the specialist equipment for the paratroopers was dropped separately.

If thatâs the case and they just get their basic stuff in the drop I think my issue with it is moot.
Though like someone else said I hope thereâs a time limit or just a communal group of para planes like BFV so its not just a constant clusterfuck of Ju52s and C-47s lmao
Airplanes with paratroopers will be an easy target. The hunt for flying mushrooms will begin in the same way.

Airborne troops are not protected by the Geneva Convention, and besides, the point about not shooting evacuating crew was added in the 1970s.

That might go for the germans after Crete but American Airborne where jumping up until the end of the war. So the sake of gameplay all paratrooper units should be able to use the jump mechanic.
