Sounds like another creative use for an AP mine. Just because you want to limit yourself to only one use of a weapon is no reason to get upset when other people get creative and choose otherwise. Like I said before, “YOU don’t decide how you die, THE ENEMY does!”
I don’t get all this complaining about dying in this game. It’s a military shooter. You’re going to die. As soon as you accept that, you’ll realize that the so-called arguments that you’re making make no sense whatsoever.
So, you’re saying that it’s more realistic to have One Guy run around the battlefield with a hammer and within ten hits of the air or 5 seconds make a full stack of sandbags appear? This is something that takes about 7 guys with shovels digging and filling for almost 6 hours to do. I’m not saying that there were no engineers on the battlefield in WW2. But what I am saying is there is no way one engineer with a hammer can make the stuff that they have available appear out of thin air. That is not realistic.
There have been plenty of accounts in military history of snipers covering their backs with explosives and other traps to alert them of incoming enemies. We still do it to this day
Consider the limitations of simply building a stack of sandbags that, unlike mines, everyone can do, yes.
Mines are completely realistic in terms of deployment and restrictions and engineer stuff has better anti-spam mechanics that mines.
Such as? And could they also simply run over them and nothing would happen?
And sure traps are the same as putting a buriable mines on a wooden floor during the battle.
How would it have been any different if the enemy would have simply put a bullet in your head? Either way, you still would have died. I think you’re just pissed off because somebody outsmarted you.
Why? Can’t we just limit the number of WP grenades or grenade launchers and continue gameplay as usual? They will retain their effectiveness while also not being able to be spammed as they were in the past.
There is nothing more “fun” than having to push into objective that is just covered in mines, so even if you completely destroy the defenders by being a better shot you usually die because they literally sit on top of the mines and now their bodies prevent you from playing minesweeper
I feel really outsmarted there /s
Yeah, I can agree that they should be able to kill the person who dropped it. You should in fact know where you placed your own mine. So, if you kill yourself with it then it is your own fault. With how wild the AI acts I’d be more hesitant to say that Friendly’s should set them off as well. There would be nothing more frustrating than setting up a mine, holding a position and having one of your AI run past it and set it off when they had no reason to move where you placed it. If the AI gets cleaned up and acts correct when you order them to do things then I’d be completely okay with this
Second, if somebody had killed me with an AP mine at the base of a ladder… I simply would stop using ladders to get down from a position in the future, and not expect every player in the game to stop using weapons in a manner that kills me. You’re the one who needs to change your behavior, not everyone else in the game.
They were used only in Burma, not the in-game mine of the British, and still can’t be put everywhere. I doubt that every soldier had them available if each battalion had 72 to 144 of them, which at best means 10% or so had them available.
So obviously a very common mine.
Mine fields and…
are not the same.
Sources talk about minefield doctrines of the Germans and mine types, not about SniperKiller1945 deploying a mine right behind his ass.
And? You still lose a soldier that could go into the CP. What is great sacrifice of mines again?
Still waiting.
Boring and dumb argument. Why cant you use anything else but mines to kill? Why did we nerf bombs when they could wipe out half of the map? Just shoot them down.
How about this: Instead of expecting every enemy player in the game to somehow know how you want to die so you don’t get upset, and somehow be able to actually kill you in a manner that is enjoyable for you… I have another solution: Why don’t you counter the enemy tactic of using AP mines with another tactic? In other words, use your brain! Here are two solutions for your problem: Before entering a cap point, look for enemy mines and shoot them out. A second solution is to throw a grenade to explode any enemy mines before you enter. That’s a proper solution! I’m sure if I spent a little more time thinking about it, I could probably come up with more solutions, but I think I’ve made my point.
The devs keep nerfing the game because there is an abundance of lazy people who refuse to use their brain to develop proper tactics (or counter tactics). They would rather just run and gun, and blame their deaths on improper use of weapons (or OP weapons). The devs can’t afford to lose them as customers, so they change the game to a watered down mess.
It may seem boring and dumb to you, but it is accurate. How many times do you need to die this way in order to realize that you simply need to change what YOU’RE doing—not the person who’s killing you
