Jesus, you guys can’t read at all… I said that they should NERFED in term of throwable range (by making them heavier for example) not deleting them.
Remember: just two tanks vs a load of infantry with AT capabilities

tanks do the following

  • survive bomb blasts
  • survive all small arms fire
  • survive hits from anti-tank guns
  • survive hits from other tanks
  • survive flak gun fire
  • survive strafing runs from 20 and 37mm cannons
  • survive molotovs
  • survive PIAT, sturm pistol hits
  • survive boat loads of anti-tank rifle hits

What tanks do not do

  • survive a bomb being tossed directly underneath or ontop of the engine deck.

the damage they deal to armor is unrealistic - How a bunch of dinamite stick can destroy a tank when placed near it when a 75 mm HE with probably the double of TNT charge barely scratches the paint from the tank?

75 mm HE and explosion pack is not the same

Right now, apart maybe of berlin campaign, the explosion pack made the bomber class pretty much useless

In my opinion the explosion pack should give a threat only to wheeled and light vehicles, and to heavier ones just be able to destroy tracks or if placed on the top the engine.

Tanks are so weak and detpacks are so OP that I singlehandedly caused half the axis team to quit and didn’t die once. Yeah Let’s make this situation worse.

Ok, I admit that maybe that didn’t completely made sense, in fact I changed my position. What about shortening it’s throwing range so it’s not just like an overpowered grenade? Maybe increasing its explosive filler and making its max range 3-4 meters should be a good compromise between the risk of getting killed and the tank kill jackpot. Also it could have more anti-fortification purposes.

i think its better the way we have now, the soldier who attacks tank has to cook his explosive for ~4 seconds being vulnerable target during this time but at least can stay somewhat more far, in some cover, than right next to the tank - isnt this enough?

Well in my opinion the range should be shortened. Now it’s just an overpowered grenade, while it would make more sense to have a placeable charge.

Not stick, but act like a satchel. Longer fuse, but more explosive (around 1/2 kgs) and so more threat to the infantryman that carries it because he can’t stay too much near the explosive and so he can shorten the fuze (so it gives the tank the possibility to spot it and escape). Again, this comes with more power so a major threat also vs fortifications.

It’s true btw, why would I bother having a AT gunner in the squad if my entire squad can have AT power, also on medium distances?

Nah range should be decreased in my opinion. I will give you this similitude.
You are an elephant (tank) vs a thousand wasps (infantrymen with explosive packs). Even if you kill a bunch of them you will be for sure at a point stung to death for sure. Shortening the range would give a balanced risk to the wasps.

yes, and I see tanks butchered by explosive packs every single time, in maps which there isn’t open ground they don’t literally last 5 minutes.
