So stop repeating it, because it isn’t true.
Those 2 tanks also have a bunch of infantry accompanying them that you give no importance to.

lmao at the dude above that thinks there’s a reason to bring AT squads in a match other than memeing
I have never talked about my playstile, so you can’t assume how I am playing. Why you guys get triggered so much about it, it’s not like all the people that over the time have brought up this explosion pack topic are all retarded, maybe we are just a TINY LITTLE right, aren’t we?
nah you arent, explosion packs arent even that dangerous if you dont place them well
Still, I think the risk factor for infantry ambushing tanks if we want all of them capable of carrying packs should be increased by shortening the throwing range, so they will give also more purpose on having frag grenades.
tank should be as useful as any other squad
Nah they aren’t useful as a regular squad in a lot of cases.
They are powerful only on open ground where they can be a real threat, in most cases they are giant target waiting to be killed.
Also no, since they have a “limiter” (max 2 per squad) they should be more menacing than a standard squad, as it really was.
dude you have skill issue
think about it
I am not talking about my playstile, since I don’t use tanks often, I talk about what I usually see on matchs
then you are blind
No, I am not blind. I am not just saying about tanks, because packs are just really overpowered grenades. A placeable satchel charge should be more appropriate.
really, if a tank gets killed, even if in a close space its his falut, i play tanks often and as well often end up in closed spaces - as long as you do it properly you are good
What do you think about replacing the packs with bigger explosives (anti-fortification/vehicle like) but with 3-4 meters max throwing range? Is it a good compromise? (so also the frag grenades would have more purpose)
what do you think of keeping the current system?
Can you explain me objectively the cons of implementing what I said?
infantry already have big trouble when dealing with an experienced tank driver - he will often change his position making tracking of him harder and use map to stay in cover behind his troops, taking such an opponent in a front approach is impossible - the only way is to sneak up or set an ambush, problem is that if range of nades was so short, invader would need to move literrary next to the tank (+ wait because of the bomb fuse), getting killed too easily, not to mention what happens if tank moves and the blast damage to the soldier who used the weapon
for that we have greater throw range, instead of being in open, waiting for enemy to RRRRT you - the invader will stay in a somewhat greater cover (he is not safe from enemy still), and “cook” the explosive, to be thrown at tank
inexperienced tank drivers, however do not use the map and do not stay behind the infantry, becoming an easy target
experienced tanker would stay behind infantry until time for charging comes, having its “rush” moment, but shall not do this for too long as it risks being destroyed
but now - you got griefer tankers, those just know the map, camp and shoot at weak spots even though they cant see their target (through bushes), knowing they will for sure get kills - this is the real problem, they wipe out half of your team using just few shells
Ok I agree pretty much with the tactics, keep in mind that this is not always possible, such as in maps like omer and berlin, and in such cases they are coffins, I will start recording to show proof I swear. Grey zone tank campers is sure an issue, but I think it’s pretty normal they can wipe out squads with their shells
i played berlin much and i know what you have in mind - however i think its fair because tanks there are more powerful and dont need to come so close and as long as there is infantry to cover you, you are good
Well I keep my opinion (that I share with a lot of other players) I respect yours as long as you respect mine, thanks for the discussion man
