Nerf explosion pack please

Playing as a tank is impossible because of explosion pack, because the damage they deal to armor is unrealistic. How a bunch of dinamite stick can destroy a tank when placed near it when a 75 mm HE with probably the double of TNT charge barely scratches the paint from the tank? Right now, apart maybe of berlin campaign, the explosion pack made the bomber class pretty much useless, since you can give it to all your team and it will always be more effective than a sturmpistole. In my opinion the explosion pack should give a threat only to wheeled and light vehicles, and to heavier ones just be able to destroy tracks or if placed on the top the engine.

Because otherwise tanks r too powerful - so how about - NO!

There is the bomber class and other vehicles to deal with tanks, also I said that you should be still able to disable them with the explosion pack. I don’t think they would be too powerful with this nerf, right now if you try tro break through the lines with them you are a walking 5 easy kills bundle.

lol - new to the game are you?

No, why?

oh - well your idea of bombers and otehr vehicles dealing wih tanks is so unlike how the game actually works I thought you must not have much experience of it.

In that case:

problem is, just like @Josephs_Piano already told you,

would make tanks pretty much powerfull.

and in many campaigns, Bombers are not very effective since they comes with anti tank rifle.
and not all squad have bombers. so that’s why there’s a chance to at least try to deal with them.

AKA det pack.

you have to get close and personal with the tank.
which you can fail at any moment.

so, high risk, high reward.

No, I know how are right now. In fact as I said on the post nerfing explosiong back would give value for example for bombers, maybe replacing those lame piats and sturmpistole with panzershreks and bazookas

sounds great. too bad in moscow and tunisia do not have panzerfausts.

and if they will, will be much later down the line in the campaign levels.

so, make 25/30 levels before getting a proper anti tank?

yes maybe, and as I said, explosion packs still be able to disable tracks, engine or gun. A disabled tank in the middle of the fight is 70% a dead tank.

The PzShrk would certainly be better than the pistol - but what makes you think the Bazooka would be any better than the PIAT?

First, Piat are launchers, so it’s somewhat an indirect fire weapon, when zookas have a more straight firing line, so aiming at great distances with them will surely be easier for example. I don’t know much about the difference between the two weapons in terms of ammo pen, but I would assume that are pretty much the same, zooka maybe a little bit better.

well…

i’m not a " pro " nor lmg player.
and i don’t like to flex.

BUT.
in berlin, with a disabled panther ( turett traverse and track unusable, i still managed to destroy 5 t34s, and alot of infantry ( for a total of 95 kills in total, which 80 were only with this panther.

tanks should be used for infantry role support. but if a trooper manage to sneak behind you, he should be able to kill you with the tnt.

considering all the way he did to sneak behind you ( and eventually, how many bullets he had to dodge. and not to mention, you don’t always have enough time to cook it and kill the tank )

again, high risk, high reward.

Yes, for sure there is the risk of doing so, but 90% of the time I see players hidden behind a corner or a window or crawling were the tank can’t see them waiting for the tank to advance a little bit and destroy them, without exposing too much and staying safe.

I don’t know why this topic made some people upset, just my opinion and POW

And that is smart play, is there something wrong with that?

well, teammates not covering your tank is another question.

which it’s pretty much present and common.

but in enlisted, you die alot.

you can’t really make a major change just because of that.

especially since you have HE to prevent that.

i see sus corner?
i dumpt some he around there.

of course, i cannot see everyone and everywhere.

but that is where the commander spot plays a good role in tanks for situational awareness due to the wide angle of view compared to the gunner sight.

but, let’s see what the other thinks.

of course, i do respect your opinion and suggestion.

although, personally, i don’t see the need of such big change.

say what??

Dude - ok - apparently you’ve played the game, but it is pretty obvious you have no real idea what you are talking about… go and read Wiki for a bit!!

MV of M9 bazooka - 265 feet/second, approx 83m/sec
MV of a PIAT: - 250 ft/sec, approx 76m/s

  • both are dead slow projectiles with teh trajectory of a cream pie and you would not notice any difference.

Both 100mm at 0 degrees - but that is for hte 1944 M6A2 and a3 projectiles - earlier Baz projectiles are only 60mm - not well designed at all.

PIAT and Bazooka both used in Tunisa by hte way - we might see one or both.

But for, say, Normandy - you can think of them as functionally EXACTLY THE SAME!

so what is no longer possible to ambush because you cannot score points with the tank, at this point ask directly for the enemy to line up in front of you to be killed
