You are right, everytime I see a T60 in Berlin, I will reconsider it obviously being viable as a BR5 vehicle.
People use it in that BR, must be viable.

I would pick a Panzer IV J over a Hellcat every time
Hellcat is maximum BR3 in power.
If you think hellcat is not good enough, then just don’t play it.
I had way too much fun with it even with its current MM.

Go play jumbo and be happy, I couldn’t care less. But hellcat definitely do not belong to low BR queue.

Sooner or later someone might even suggested lowering Achilles to br3 but I’m gonna say it now Achilles is pretty good ngl (I have kill a couple of tiger 2 with it so it definitely better than I expected)

You don’t care about balance, and it shows, all I see is an open top Puma with a Panzer IV gun.
I don’t even have a Hellcat, I am entirely talking from a balance perspective.
Being open top, having no MG, having no HE, having weak armor, having no turret, having poor post pen damage, those stats matter and should ultimately be considered when placing the BR of a vehicle.

No, it’s obvious you haven’t played both tanks enough. The Puma is similarly fast, yes. But its wheels make it much less maneuverable, especially at lower speeds.
Yeah, definitely… ±100 pene is comparable to ±150 pene.
Not even counting difference of HEs. 50mm vs 75mm is quite different.

M10 should be BR3, M18 should definitely stay at BR4.
Btw. Even in WT, hellcat and Panther shares exactly the same BR

BR4 isn’t just Panthers.
Panzer IV H, T-34-85 and Chi-Nu are all on BR4, but people only seem to compare the hellcat to German tanks, that is terrible mistake.
Chi-Nu has similar problems with armour with none of the upsides, panzer IV H is very comparable to the hellcat both having paper armour for this BR, but H is much slower while Hellcat is extremely fast.
Hellcat is unique at BR4 being the fastest tank at its BR, its most definitely not meant for camping but most people never get skill beyond that.
If the Hellcat only fought Panzer IVs, Chi-Nus and Panthers at max, it would be perfectly fine. Blame the stupid over compression and terrible 2 queue MM that made 60% of the tanks worthless.
A BR3 hellcat downtiering to BR2 and BR1 tanks in Tunisia and Pacific would be extremely toxic. That is the last thing I want to see.

Panzer IV J has 140 pen
According to euthy datasheet, puma has 106 and pz IV j has 145.
So 40mm pene difference. Which makes ±40% of pumas base pene.
Quite a significant difference I would say.

I never compared Puma to Panzer IV gun.
I said Hellcat is a puma with a Panzer IV gun, because Hellcat and Panzer IV gun are comparable
this is exactly my opinion. if we had 3 MM queues i would put m18 and m10 in mid queue(same with kv1 and pz4 f2/j). now it is only a question do you want those tanks to see low BR queue or not. IMO any german long 75mm and us 76w shouldnt be in low BR cause they basically one shot any low BR tank from any angle on any spot.
