Welp I know that people already suggested this but this game really needs medics. But how should they act in this game. My idea is that they should be able to make a first aid station just like how engineers make their buildings and these buildings has a supply of first aid that will heal squads in it and replenish their supply of it. But unlike the engineer the medic can choose a small house and he can turn it into a first aid station (much like real world ww2 medics) and they can pick up or pull downed teammates to safety and use a stretcher to pull them faster back to their stations. And these stations will be marked with a red cross on the minimap so their teams can have an easier time. Their equipment should be a stretcher in their primary and they cant pick up rifles and have a pistol for self defense and a bunch of first aid kits and a smoke grenade to be used as a support tool. And maybe make killed teammates into a makeshift surgery bed where the medic can attempt to revive them making the player who owned the squad have the squad back faster if the medic is lucky. But unlike other soldiers the medics cant be added in normal infantry squads (seriously imagine a sniper having the first aid station and constanly being revived by AI medics) instead players should have a dedicated squad of medics. And medics get bonuses by the amount of teammates they revived and saved in a battle and maybe an achievement to go with it. But if the enemy killed a medic they will receive a tiny negative effect (like a small -10 on their post battle rewards per medic killed and a special title at the end like medic killer in the post game stats much like best sniper, riflemen, engineer etc.) if they kill a medic (just for the sake of realism) and get a special achievement if they kill too much medics in their games. Also engineers can help medics set up their stations and the AI medics will automatically seek out wounded allies and heal them and return to the first aid station and occasionally bring back dead bodies so they can attempt to revive it if an makeshift surgery bed is set up. But as a counter if an enemy did found the first aid station they can use it as their own and enemy medics can freely use it (or just destroy it).
but thats just my suggestions i would like to see yours.

People, learn to organize your thoughts, this whole wall of text can fit in a short list:
Medic class:
- Can build a first aid station
- Has a stretcher in primary slot
- Can bring downed/dead soldiers to the first aid station (AI medics do it automatically)
- Can only use handguns
- Can revive downed soldiers
- Killing a medic gives negative XP
- Canāt be used in any other squad
- Can build makeshift surgery bed to revive dead soldiers
- First aid station can be taken over or destroyed by enemies if they discover it
And no, thanks. I donāt want a group of untouchable soldiers running around, who can still troll-kill me with their handguns, but if I shoot at them I get negative XP. I seriously doubt people will play this class, except for the purposes of trolling.
Itās a very complicated mechanic thatāll require months if not years of testing to get right (if itās even possible to get it right).
Also, the gameās pace and the proposed mechanic just donāt go together very well. This would maybe work in something like ARMA, but here itād be more of an inconvenience.

That āHit n Runā game type of enlisted not include medicsā¦the low budget medic is the engineer with 4 medkit in a big battlebagā¦

You can simply help ārevivingā downed soldiers faster by paying resp⦠by pressing āFā, you know.
Most of the time you may just encounter old comrades like Hans here:
Who I believe canāt really be revived from his very dead state even with the best intentions possibleā¦
A more simpler approach could be to allow soldiers WITHOUT med kits in inventory to NOT insta die when shot but get in downed state (like if they had said kit on them) so a pal WITH medkits can try and patch him up.

Drop med kits for wouned soldier would be great.
Something in those lines. How it is now is soldiers cannot get in ādownedā state if they have no med kits in inventory, they die instantly. Allowing the downed state to soldiers even without any kits would incentive others to āreviveā (heal them) using their own supplies of kits. Could even give an xp bonus for saving others. There; you have a simple functional medic class (any guy with a large backpack full of medkits would do)

i like this idea it could drastically increase the survival rate and reduce losses.
From my point of view maps size are too smalls for a specific medic class

My thoughts exactly: enlisted is too fast paced to introduce such a class. Maybe if a new slower game mode akin to a siege got introduced it could have itās use, but not with what we have. We already have engineers and they are struggling with having time to prepare defenses for points being about to get caped. The most successful ones Iāve seen in fact completly forsake a point just to try and build up in the next oneā¦

Same for me.
Impossible to make defense when you are rushed by hundreds of angry russians
If the dev give the defender 60 sec for prepare defense the issue is resolved a lot of battle has lost because the attacker doing a blitzkriegh and win

I suggested adding a āgrace periodā for defenders a while back. Still waitingā¦

They buffed attackers not so long ago (time of cap zone) i hope they will take your idea in consideration.
Like Gastan said if blitzkrieg attack itās over for now

Who knows⦠itād be great if they took my suggestion into consideration. Would make invasion mode more different than conquest mode focused on a single point at a time, like it is at the moment.
