Lower Federov

RoF in game is pretty accurate, Wikipedia isn’t always reliable.

And no, even if it was super nerfed it would still be a BR 3 gun at minimum.

solution could be much simpler…

the ammount of X weapons that you got, will increase the chances of your favorite / adequate map appear.

more volkssturm weapons?

will end up in berlin with other people mosly using pss43s, and mosin m44s.

using federovs?

you will play moscow with other people using mkhbs etc.

That’s the great divide in our community, history vs balance

Like I said before, ironically in some ways BR is historical because most early war things are weak and late war is strong, but then as we see there are some things all over the place. Some early war things that were strong, late war that were not so strong :man_shrugging:

Although personally I feel it should be more based on year, or in this case the closest period a WW1 vintage would fit, I would maybe settle for it being 3

In fact I’d say there are more things I would classify as 3 as a middle ground

Also I’m just saying early tier things are more versatile because you can always find a way to bring them forward

Again they can always test different BR configurations

If you nerf that shite to 400rpm, remove the recoil multiplier… yes, close to IRL stat, probably, else no

Wait a moment, if so, why the hell Breda PG are BR4 and 5? They are pretty much like Fedorov but worse…

And VG1-5 is BR3, and that shite is not even Automatic or comes with a GL like M1 Carbine GL, which is BR2

Supply shortage never was faction exclusive and how do you reflect the conditions changing throughout the war?
Should your fed in moscow come with full ammo reserves and in berlin you dont even get a spare mag?
Some features might be realistic but dont make good gameplay for a game.

I was just joking to make a point

Honestly I’d say just nerf the federov’s rpm to 450 rpm and then put it and mkb with the kiraly to tier 4 and put the ppd40 in the same file as the ppd34/38 at tier 4. And then make the queues 1-2,2-3,3-4 and 4-5 and put Moscow and Stalingrad in 1-2,2-3, and 3-4 brackets that way if you just wanted bolt action gameplay, then just stick with 1-2,and 2-3. If you wanted to face semi autos and mg’s and smg’s then go to tier 3-4.

The AVS is also in a similar situation. It’s an early war gun that was withdrawn from service, but here it’s Tier 5 and now Soviets storm Berlin with it lol

Yeah and the hard thing is that it makes it hard to make fair of putting it in tier 4 when the only way to compromise is by taking the fg42 down with it too. So keep it at tier 5 for now. However I do agree with you on the AVS.

Dude Breda PG are pretty much Fedorov in Italian skin… and yet both are High BR

Despite the Breda pg being a rifle class weapon, I whole heartedly agree with you.

Perhaps knock the Breda pg down with the federov if they go with nerfing the RPM to 450 and bumping it down to tier 4 like I recommended along the rest of my suggestion

They don’t even have an office in Russia…
Where is this “Russian based company/Russian bias” excuse coming from?

Year of service is irrelevant to balance in a video game.

Tbh I wouldn’t mind the avs staying at tier 5. Just the suggestion I listed already is enough I think honestly.and besides, the akt40 rifle squad is already at tier 4 to begin with.

It is in some other games though

I understand why some people here had fears this game would go war thunder’s route, because they don’t want to have a WW2 battle and you have late war heavies fighting Cold War vehicles. It ruins the atmosphere. But that’s the problem because Warthunder is more of a lol random sandbox while this game is a dedicated war game, at least it was at first

Again in my opinion it’s just a few things here and there that are out of place historically. I am hopeful that perhaps it can change but if not I still hope there will be a major overhaul to making custom games, but I fear they may just leave it in the dust

Just…no.

I love my federovs, but if you take the right perks, perks you can take at any level of play, they’re flat better than any of the other ARs in the game except for mag capacity. I get wanting things to unlock/mm in historical order, but that way lies chaos and imbalanced gameplay worse than it already is.

Eh, arguable. Gun history nerds have been having this argument for ages. I’m in camp "It should be a battle rifle, but since the 6.5mm Arisaka loses so much velocity that it performs like an intermediate cartridge out of the Federov, that means the Federov might technically be the first AR.

No, and the FG42 should be a gunner weapon. While we’re at it, only assaulters and gunners should ever get automatics, full stop.

I actually like this idea.
