But 9mm parabellum with 6.8 damage or more (Lanchester, Beretta 38 (40), ZK-383) down someone in 2 shots and kill him in another 2 shots.
While 7.62 with 6.6-6.7 damage (pps42, pphs41, soumi kp26) down someone in 3 shots and usually skip downed state with a very high chance.
Considering that with perfect perks, a soldier gets up in less than 2s, German SMGs even with increased damage are forced to spend more time on the same target so this power dynamic heavily favours soviet SMGs.

That dmg bonus as Germany is only valid in perfect scenario where:
- they are closer than 10m away
- they have no vitality
- they have no body armor equipped
